Neither are particularly good, but "Anthem" is crafted better and catchier.

reaaaaaally tough choice. anthem was a great closer and anthem part 2 was a great opener. i went with anthem but just barely. anything from both EOTS and TOYPAJ sound similar to me and if i didnt know what album i was listening to i could assume they were on either unlike if i listened to the rawness of dude ranch or the maturity of the self-titled where i'd know immediately

Well yeah, I agree. The end where Travis comes in definitely makes the song, but Travis won't be in this version! So that's kinda sketchy

I think the acoustics make the song! It sounds very honest that way. It is supposed to be an emotional song and this way it sounds like Tom just picked up his guitar and plays it.

part 1. part 2 is about 5 years too late, they were WAY too old to be singing about some of the things in that song. me and my friends have had this debate several times before, and i always say part one is way better.
