Ok I really love scary movies but none of them seem to actually scare me that much. Does anyone have any recommendations of any scary movies that are actually really terrifying. Also the ones that scare me the most are the ones that could actually happen.

Absolutely- Martyrs and Inside are really messed up movies, I don't know what's in the water in France. Irreversible, while not a horror movie, has stuck with me more than most horrors I've seen. That film is so hard to watch, it's almost hard to describe.
For the OP, I watch a lot horror movies, most I love, but they tend not to scare me as much as entertain. I don't necessarily look to be scared, but more creeped out, that is more of an unsettling feeling. Parts of 28 Days Later and REC did that for me. I personally found Paranormal Activity to be very creepy as well. I know some people don't agree, but anything that simple that plays with your mind is very effective in my book.

Quaratine is a bad remake of REC in my opinion. Watch REC if you can be bothered to read subtitles. I find it far more involving.

No you don't. Your team won a World Series this decade. They haven't in 100+ years. That's like saying you know how a cancer patient feels because you got a wart removed.

I'd never been a fan of a team that had such a great year and then got demolished by an inferior team in the first round of the playoffs. The Cardinals were everyone's favorite to win that series over the Dodgers, and were most people's favorites to win the NL. My point was that I got a taste of the letdown that Cubs fans feel on a yearly basis.

until he proves that he can't do it, I say we stick with Franklin. dude put up insane numbers last year for a first year closer, and i think we should keep him going. my concern is third base. freese worries me quite a bit.

oh i know, its risky to put soo much faith in a rookie like mangement seems to be doing but who else is there? put schumaker in another place? julio lugo and his non-exsistent bat? its a trouble spot for sure.

It's not really the same. Those losses just get piled onto a long history of failure and disappointment. As a Sox fan, I used to know what that was about. But I wouldn't say I know how a Cubs fan feels just because the Angels whupped us out of the playoffs.

My only point was that getting blind sided like we did by the Dodgers left me speechless, and I could see how a Cubs fan would have felt the year before when the same thing happened to them. History of the Cubs aside, when your team is the favorite to win it all and you go down without winning a game...that feels the same regardless of who you are a fan of.
I do get your point though.

Now is when we could have really used Brett Wallace, haha. I'd say getting Holliday in his place was a good move though.

It's one of the most critically acclaimed psychological horror films of all time and is usually talked about as one of the most frightening films ever made so I'm not sure exactly happened when you watched it.

I felt cheated. Like I spent the last couple hours investing in characters and plots then in the end finding out it was all just a dying hallucination. Honestly, I felt like I could have taken a two-hour shit and left the restroom having felt more rewarded than watching that movie. With that being said, the whole conspiracy was very entertaining and I enjoyed the body horror-esque themes it portrayed, it just seemed that B.J. Rubin had no idea how he could possibly wrap it all up without having a cop-out shitty ending. e.g. Stay / The I Inside
Love Horror films, have seen 100's over the years!
My fave classic horror films are Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Evil Dead. All 4 are cult classics. Of more recent horror films, I'd recommend Scream, Final Destination, 28 Days later, The Descent, Saw, Wolf Creek, Last House on the left (remake) and Hostel. If you like Werewolf films then I'd also recommend An American Werewolf in London and Dog Soldiers. I'm not sure if I'd call all these scary) , but they are all entertaining well made Horror films.

I didn't see it as a cop out since it was so well engrained within the story.

i think it was, it will give albert alot more quality at bats, but im worrired about the declining power numbers. seems like 7 years is a little long.
If I ever have kids I'll probably make them watch The Shining and Eraserhead at a young age.

I just sat through Eraserhead in class... I don't think you could really traumatize a child more than by making them watch that film... unless you make them watch Cannibal Holocaust, of course.
