I think I'm going to bump the official thread soon, because I'm ready start up the NFL conversation. There was some resistance last time, but training camp starts next week so I think it's time.

I can talk about the NFL anytime of the year.

I just don't understand HOW the NFL thread had less replies than all the other threads.

NFL >>>> college hoops >>>> college football >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest of sports

Football = 16 games
Hockey = 82 games
Basketball = 82 games
Baseball = 162 games

That's the main reason. Baseball, Hockey, and Basketball seasons are extremely long. Football is 17 weeks long, not alot of time for discussion. The thread should be kept a sticky all year round, I don't know why it isn't.

yeah...fuck the NFL. I have no interest in it until the Buffalo Bills have interest in fielding a decent team again.

Longest playoff drought in the NFL (1999) and an offensive line like a sieve and they bring in two former backups/borderline starters, Tutan Reyes and Melvin Fowler, to fix the problem. Fucking brilliant.

Until there's some signs of progress from the Bills, I'm sticking to the Sabres. I'm sick of having my heart broken every season.

Well this how I feel.

1. NFL - I can watch any NFL game and be satisfied. I am also an Eagles fan and I am sure you know our reputation. Stick with your team when they suck too. I am boycotting the Phillies by not buying tickets or products, but I still follow them. And it hurts.

2. MLB - I can watch any baseball game, but I prefer it to be the Phillies or Yankees.

3. NHL - I absolutely love the Flyers. As for the rest of the league, I don't care to watch it anymore because it is not as physical anymore. I watch the playoffs even if the Flyers are out of it however. There enough players to root for on team because of some of Bobby Clarke's dumb trades.

4. College Football - Penn State and Florida State, I can watch most college football games, but if it becomes a blow out I will turn it off except for my teams of course.

5. College BBall - Don't get me wrong, I love College Bball, but for me it does fall down here. I root for Nova and then the rest of the big 5. I am not affiliated with any of the schools besides Temple (my sis goes there), but I've always rooted for Nova and I wanted to go there. - I decided on a school in Fl instead where Massimino coaces now.

6. NBA - just doesn't entertain me. This years finals were good though. I am a sixers fan by default, but I've followed the Heat the past 3 years since Wade came into the league. My uncle took me to a bunch of games so.

All in all, I don't know, I like all sports so I find things to be entertaining, but I guess that is how I'd rank them. I'd say NFL is one and everything else is tied for 2nd lol.

my boycott is not about the team sucking.

It's about our old, senile owner who hired a bonehead GM (Tom Donahoe) who, in turn, hired TWO deadbeat head coaches (Gregg Williams, Mike Mularkey), and then replaced Donahoe with Marv Levy, who replaced Mularkey with Dick Jauron.

Levy and Jauron then brought in 2nd-tier FA's to fill important holes.

IF they field a decent team this year, I will begin to put my faith back into this half-assed franchise. But until there's a real product on the field, I will not drop $50+ on a ticket.

you forgot about the part where they reached for their first two draft picks, taking two players they easily could have gotten a little later instead of trading down to add extra and still get what they wanted.

try rooting for the phillies and sixers for a day if you want to talk about half-ass run franchises.
