The Razzies used to be a lot of fun but now I feel like they're just as safe as the choices for most regular award shows. The Jonas brothers nomination is absurd. Sure, they actually acted for about 10 minutes of that film but c'mon! Transformers was bad but there were much worse films this year than that. I guess complaining about this is really dumb so I am going to quit while I'm marginally ahead.

I'm sure something with Larry The Cable Guy and the others you mentioned all go without saying; this seems to be directed at "serious" endeavors.

Then there's: Legion, Pandorum, Vantage Point, Smart People, GI Joe, Flight of the Phoenix, The Day After Tomorrow, The Alamo, The Parent Trap, etc.

He's made a lot of movies he's bound to be in a few good ones. But he has to have one of the worst good movie/movies made ratio in Hollywood.

I actually think The Day After Tomorrow gets a bad rap and The Parent Trap isn't particularly embarassing. Regardless, while his career tends toward a lot of crap, don't write off all his movies just yet.

Agreed. It is a total piece of shit. Beyond bad and does need to be on the list. However, they picked popular movies primarily and there were others that were so much worse. Some popular, some not. Check it out:

-I love you, Beth Cooper
-Fired Up!
-Miss March
-The Room
-Spread
-Bride Wars
-Downloading Nancy (such a fucking waste of Maria Bello, holy shit was it bad)
-I Hate Valentines Day
-Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
-Dance Flick
-Whiteout
-Year One

That's just what I can think of. Some are already mentioned in the Razzies. Others aren't. Either way. There was some trashier stuff than Transformers 2. (and I hated trannies 2.)

True. True. I still think Transformers deserves the biggest terrible prize just based on how much it set us back culturally as well as how many people bought into it. But yea, almost all the movies you listed, save for "The Room" which has been out for 5 years and is absolutely awesome, are worthy of being nothing more than fancy clay pigeons for target practice.

blahaha.. I just noticed I put the room in there. I was having a conversation with a friend about how awesome it was and it made it's way in. HHAHAHAHA. best online mess up of mine in a while. Thank you. And I do agree... culturally, transformers 2 has set us back a few hundred years. But, I don't think too many people with brains that are actually matured enough to catch the (c)overt racism thought it was great. Obviously there are exceptions but you get my drift. Man, The Room. hahaha. Just showed my roommate and he slapped me. Good stuff.

Transformers 2, minus the special effects and Megan Fox running in slow motion, was just ass, plain and simple. However, the explosions were entertaining, even though the story was absolutely incoherent, and it was waayyy too long, and even a little bit racist.

I'm not defending this movie by any stretch of the imagination, but there are definitely worse movies with no redeeming qualities.

cshadows2887

Transformers was one of the most entertaining movies of the summer. It had some intentionally funny moments. And every other moment was unintentionally funy. And they blowed shit up real good. If you expected anything beyond the 5/10 range, you were deluded, but there are far worse movies this year.

Robot heaven was funnier than The Hangover by itself. And I really liked The Hangover.
