1. How did you get your band name?
We all put our suggestions in a hat. We narrowed it down to two names. It was Next To Nothing and Nowhere Fast. I was listening to some cd's in my car the next day and heard the line Nowhere Fast in all three albums. The Smiths, MxPx, and The Gamits. I took it as a sign I guess.

2. How did this band get started?
My friend Miles and I wanted to start a band. I got real serious about it. Just put the word out to my friends who were already playing in bands and just kept searching until I found the right fit.

3. What bands are you influenced by?
This question is so hard to answer for me. I'll name some people from different genres to give a hint. I am very schizophrenic when it comes to music. Sorry to babble on. Descendents, Social D, Face To Face, Strung Out, Tom Petty, Hank Sr, Brand New, MxPx, Percy Sledge, Ottis Redding, Op Ivy, The Living End, Doo Wop, Hot Water Music, CCR, Alkaline Trio, Foo Fighters, Maiden, JEW, Christie Front Drive, Bluegrass, Bouncing Souls and so on.

4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would it be and why?
Past bands: Definitely Creedence Clearwater Revival, Christie Front Drive, and The Beatles. These three mainly because of the Rock 'N' Roll sound from CCR and Christy Front Drive just to see them live every night on tour. The Beatles just to have that experience. Movielife would be cool as well. Present would have to be Strung Out , Bayside, Social Distortion, or Hot Water Music. One is because I have always been a huge Strung Out fan and Bayside is a recent new favorite for me. Social Distortion and Hot Water Music are just a given. The Living End and Banner Pilot would be cool too.

5. If you were furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
I would be a boxer. Gentle and aggressive when needed or I could just be vampire.

6. Why should people listen to your band?
We put a lot of work, heart, and soul in our songs as many bands do. We do bring a bit old, new, and experimenting styles of rock/punk to the table. We have our influences and we know we're doing nothing new in music. At the same time we sound like Nowhere Fast and we just make the best music we can. No auto tuning or crazy crap of that sort. We try to keep the balls in the music with having heart at the same time. It's honest music. Something I think a majority of the people have forgotten how to do. We're not perfect. Just honest music played by average people.

7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
I actually have no idea. Maybe Blind Shot or Medicated Good Bye. Don't laugh, but I have never actually played Rock Band. Some of the chances I had were on the road and I think I chose food, PBR, or sleep. I have played Guitar Player. I suck at it.

8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
My family for putting up with my worry, debt, self destruction, and missing important situations.

9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
I would try and not let the art of the record fade away. Let the majors fade away and let the true indies be the big guy.

10. Memorable tour experience?
Which to mention. Tough one. I'll go with an old one. We were playing Atlanta and after the show we went to meet up with another band we semi knew playing that night. After all was said and done we went to leave and saw a pair of legs hanging out of the window of our vehicle. We started yelling and running towards the guy and he popped out of the window with a bag of cheetos. Danny, our merch guy, and I surrounded him to take care of business. The guy pulls out an engine screw driver and starts coming at us. As we dodge him he bolts. Our bass player at the time threw us a Louisville slugger we kept with us on the road. We chased this guy for five blocks or so in the middle of downtown Atlanta screaming we're going to kill you and what not. He darts into an alley between a building and a parking garage. Like a demon or vampire he vanishes into the dark. We then starting smelling piss, puke, beer and realized we were in the sleeping quarters of crackheads and homeless people. So, we kind of got out of there and back to the scene of the crime. Here's the kicker for me. We had a trailer full of gear and all this guy was after was cheetos. Also, not one cop stopped us running though the streets with a baseball bat. One cop taking the report said he would have done the same thing if it was him. Moral of the story is you really cannot catch a crackhead. In a way we got real lucky. There are five stories just from this one night of tour. This is just one.

11. What does AP.net mean to you?
AP to me means support for smaller bands and getting up to date info on bigger acts I enjoy. It's good for the scene. Especially for smaller bands trying to get the word out. Some sites will not even give you the time of day. Sites like AP do give you a chance and it's just a relief there's a site out there helping and supporting us.

12. What is your favorite song to play?
To hard to choose. Depends on my mood I guess. Stamped Hollow and Medicated Godd Bye are always favorites. Blind Shot and Next To Nothing are fun too. We have new one called Melody Save Us I am enjoying a ton at the moment.

13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
The beach. St. Augustine, Florida. I enjoy Nashville, Chicago, and New York a ton too.

14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
The Beatles, Maiden, Megadeath, Zeplin, Bluegrass, 50's Pop songs, and Black Flag

15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
Healing power would be cool. That way I could help people in need and get my friends to try crazy shit with the guarantee I got them covered if anything goes wrong. Entertainment at it best.

16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
Yes and no. We have been lucky to play with bands we really admire. At the same time I would like to be able to pay my rent.

17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
I am very obsessed with history and vintage stuff. I love vinyl too.

18. What's your favorite holiday?
Halloween and Christmas. Sorry, I have two.

19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Be a dork and read. Hang with family and I love blasting the stereo and cooking out. Go to rod shows and concerts. I am never tired of music. Watch baseball, football, and ghost shows.

20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
Not sure. I used to pretty good at baseball and skateboarding. I still ride and go to the batting cages when I have time.
