Update: One rumored sign-and-trade involving Gooden has him going to Chicago for power forward Michael Sweetney and point guard Chris Duhon, the Lorain Morning Journal reports.
Recommendation: "It's a possibility we're interested in," agent Calvin Andrews told Chicago reporters. "We haven't talked too much about that happening. It's up to the Cavs. If something would come up with the Bulls, it would interest us, definitely." The talks between Gooden and the Cavs have stalled, making a sign-and-trade a possibility. Cleveland would seek a starting-quality power forward in any deal.

Than why would Sweetney be in there?
It would be good for the Bulls, they already have 2 solid guards, and the new guy in Swiss Miss, and Gooden could help with offense a little. He would be another good presence at PF, but, we already Songaila and Thomas to play the PF spot. Who knows, couldn't hurt really, getting some more experience

I agree. I like Duhon, but I'm afraid he's going to have a tough time getting minutes. Sweetney I wouldn't miss.

Though, Gibson may end up a 2 guard if he doesn't develop the point quickly enough...which means he'd be behind Shannon Brown and Larry Hughes, and he'd never play. Seems like he's destined to have to learn the 1

i think gibson will be great too. and as the roster stands now, i think he'd be starting at the 1 by the end of the season.
but they clearly don't see things the same way as me, since they're still going out of their way to upgrade the position.
gibson and duhon at the point though for a few years is something i won't complain about. i like snow, but he's kind of worthless and he doesn't have many years left.
but seriously, take damon jones. please.

haha, no thanks
Yeah, that's the thing, the Bulls were so young that they actually needed to get rid of a player or two so that they could get some experience...and since we have a solid PG, Duhon is expendable

ku tag team
i like it you and me both...give me Nick Collison now and Julian Wright out of next year's draft and my life will be complete
edit: and Wayne Simien as well, fuck yeah, that's who I'd rather have than Ben Wallace

haha. just load the bulls with a roster full of ku players.
then get used to great regular seasons, but no championships :)

then get used to great regular seasons, but no championships :) yeah...but then like every 4-5 years they'd make it to the championship (and lose of course)...and they'd always make the playoffs.
Plus, I could just follow the flow of players from the Jayhawks to the Bulls...it'd be great. I'd be able to make comments like "Well, the connection between Russ and Mario was great in the college game, but once they got into the pros, they didn't have the quickness to keep it up."
And if I hated a player, I could hope they don't go pro (though aside from Sasha Kaun, I have yet to find a KU player I hate)

fuck danny manning.
that's pretty much my only opinion of ku. and it really had nothing to do with his days as a jayhawk.
