How amazing is the new Mars Volta record going to be?

Sounds like the rest of their stuff. Forty five minute feedbacks mixed with progressive Led Zepplin/Pink Floyd/Rush rip offs.

It sounds like the rest of their stuff, incredible and intriguing music which pushes the boundries.

All those bands heavily influenced the Mars Volta, but I would hardly call them a ripoff band. The feedback contributes to the mood of the records.

It's so boring to see them live when they only play three songs lasting over an hour.

if by boring, you mean awesome, then yes.

See, that's the problem with a lot of people today. They want the quick fix. They want to hear almost 20 songs in one hour. In order to listen to The Mars Volta, you have to just sacrafice yourself and give them the time and just let the music take over you. Otherwise yeah, you will get bored.

That is the problem. It get's old and boring after a while. I'd much rather see Sunn O))) live than TMV.
