I saw mixed reactions from the Grammy's thread.
I, myself, am pretty excited because
A) It got great reviews from its run in California
B) I think John Gallagher Jr. is absolutely wonderful
C) I'm intrigued about the storyline, considering it's revolved around Green Day music.
The cast and Green Day recorded '21 Guns' and I think it's good. I haven't even listened to much new Green Day Stuff.

I haven't heard any songs from the actual production, but I thought the album was pretty meh and the idea of a stage adaptation sounds awful.
Hopefully it dies a quick death.

I'm interested. Although there is no way in hell that I will have the time and money to see a broadway play.

I'm interested. Although there is no way in hell that I will have the time and money to see a broadway play.Broadway plays are pretty pricey, but you need to know how to get the cheapest tickets. Almost every show has a student rush, which, if you sit at the box office when it opens, are usually only $30 max for good seats. Most shows have a lottery 2 hours prior to the show where you win front row seats for like $25 as well. I've seen almost every show out there right now and I usually do it by winning the lottery (or cashing in showpoints).
When it comes to southern california, i'll be there! It's not a tour yet, haha. It'll be on Broadway, in NYC.
I think the show is more than just the American Idiot album as well.

Hmm..disagree. Well, she was better than Green Day and Gaga.

I would disagree, but Beyonce is on the list of people I wish I could send away on a boat and never hear from again. They were all better than Jamie Foxx though, who really shouldn't have a music career.

Haha yeah Foxx was/is terrible. Why the hatred for Beyonce though?

I can't honestly stand a single song that she/Destiny's Child ever did. She can sing, but the songs always annoyed the hell out of me.

No I enjoy pop music and can't stand Beyonce. Her writers don't write choruses, they just repeat phrases - shouldaptaringonitshouldaptaringoni tshouldaptaringonitshouldaptaringon itcheckuponitcheckuponitcheckuponit checkuponitcheckuponitgotmelookings ocrazyrightnowgotmelookingsocrazyri ghtnowgotmelookingsocrazyrightnowgo tmelookingsocrazyrightnow.
Almost every one of her songs pounds the chorus into your head, it's maddening. It's just lowest common denominator pop.

Also, she suns runs so much that I don't even know if her songs have a melody.

At this point, I could go without seeing or hearing anything from Green Day again.

Mostly because they picked the wrong song. I loved American Idiot back when it came out, hope it's good enough.

Happy to hear this. The cast recording sounds beautiful and I read the plot, based on both things I'm pretty sure seeing this on Broadway would bring me to tears.

The cast recording sounds beautiful and I read the plot, based on both things I'm pretty sure seeing this on Broadway would bring me to tears.Boulevard of Broken Dreams was out of this world. John Gallagher Jr. just got up and played it solo on his acoustic guitar, and the city lights were going by in the backdrop. And when it intensified others joined it, but it was beautiful. Also, for "Wake me up when September ends," it was the three leads playing acoustic and singing. It was so raw. It lacked a deep storyline but the talent on the stage was overwhelming.

Yup, the story's nothing out of the ordinary but I think it can showcase every song perfectly, I can only imagine my eargasms everytime they sing "Nobody Likes You" and during Letterbomb.

Oh, and when it ends, curtain goes down, comes up, they bow, curtain goes down, comes up, and the whole cast is there with acoustic guitars and they play Good Riddance. SO GOOD.
