View Full Version : Gibson SG Special or PRS SE?
I had an SG with 3 humbuckers and the neck cracked. Well, I don't know if I want another one ya know? My other guitar player has a Tremonti SE signature and he plays it through a Fender DeVille and its heaven. Also I play a Marshall JCM2000 TSL through celestions.
Those Agile guitars have also attracted my attention. Any knowledge about those would be appreciated.

Thats a no brainer. PRS ftw. The Tremonti is a really nice guitar and its a very nice price too. I hate the feel of a Gibson though. I would go to a local store and play one though.

well i've always gone by "if it aint gibson its shit" but i'm almost 100% decided on the prs. probably the singlecut.

pretty heavy- i think around 8 lbs. the action was pretty good right out of the box - only some minor buzz on the low E. i am taking it to get set up again soon so hopefully we kill it then.
i did get the slim neck - i had an AL-2000 previously and thought the neck was too chunky. i really like the slim; i can play for hours without any hand issues.
SG FTW. It's really a versatile guitar.

PRS guitars always seem to have better quality sound and feel to them, even the economy models. I feel like a hypocrite, however, having just ordered an Explorer.
i got the prs. 300 bucks. and i got my jcm2000 fixed. running it through an range 4x12, i have found my perfect sound. and im in a hardcore-ish band. so so stoked.
