a full stack popped up on craigslist that's going for Way cheap and it appears to be in good condition, so i'm thinking about it. anyone have any experience with this amp? reviews always seem to say it's great. i'm just wondering how versatile it is.
i hear its ridiculously hard to get a good clean tone with the evh's. how much?

$2000 for a full stack. the head goes for $2000 new and cabs go for $1100. i figure even if i don't like it i can turn it pretty easily.
yeah you could turn it for a 500 dollar profit honestly. i played through one at guitar center and its really nothing too special. if anything i'd buy it just to turn it.

Or, depending on badly you need a new amp, just look into something you know you'd like for cheaper and automatically save yourself monies. Or keep one of the cabs and sell the 5150 as a halfstack and get an equally kick ass head.

It's one of those amps that does only one thing - but it does that one thing well. Anybody in the market for one of these shouldn't ever need a clean channel for live or recording.
