Alright this is going nowhere.
Player A is Brian McCann
Player B is David Wright
Player C is Carlos Beltran
I just wanted to point out what a great year McCann is having. He's right up there with the New York Golden Boys.

He doesnt even qualify though, not enough at bats

He doesnt even qualify though, not enough at bats
That's because he's a catcher and he's playing with a bad ankle that he had to sit out with for a couple weeks. It balances out because of the defensive workload that he handles, tiring as hell. He's on pace for 450 ABs, which is pretty high.

Which is bullshit. He plays 4 out of 5 games, except like, the 7-8 game stretch he missed after he got freighttrained.

Brian McCann doesn't get enough appreciation. I love him, even if he is a Brave.

you should put the run production - 9 homers and 40 rbis compared to 26 and 73 for beltran and 21 and 77 for Wright.

hahahahaha, ok
how bout you add some more stats
MCCann - 9 hr, 40 rbi, 2 sb
Wright - 21 hr, 77 rbi, 11 sb
Beltran - 26 hr, 73 rbi, 12 sb
McCann is having a good year, but don't compare him to those guys just yet.
Side note, i was playing mlb the show yesterday with my neighbor, he was the braves and their was a passed ball and the announcer said "McCann McCan't hold on to it and the run scores." hahaha

You should realize that counting stats are an awful gauge of production... Tony Batista has hit 30/100 a few times in his career and he's one of the worst players in the league. McCann missed a couple weeks with an ankle injury, and he's a catcher who doesn't get to play every 5th day. Also, RBI is a team dependent stat. McCann hit lower in the order for a good part of the year, and he doesn't have guys like Delgado and Wright hitting behind him.

they do have some merit though, especially when those guys are in the top ten in both categories. Even if you adjusted his rbis and homers to equal the number of at bats of wright and beltran, he still wouldnt have numbers that are equal to them. Yes beltran has protection, but what does wright have? The guys hitting behind him have been jose valentin and cliff floyd. Plus delgado has not hit anything for like 2 months, he has been slumping forever, his average is in the .240s, his home runs and rbis are high only because he was really hot for the first two months of the season.
And by the way, mike piazza never had trouble driving in runs and hitting homers even though he was a banged up catcher. Honestly, i think mccann is a good player i just think you need to stop trying so hard to make him an equal with beltran and wright when he obviously isnt right now.

Sorry, I meant having guys in front of him** to knock them in. I was trying to point out RBI are a stupid stat because they're so team dependent. And I was pointing out that McCann's counting stats are down because he was out with an injury for a couple weeks. Why would you want to make ABs equal when you can just use rate stats instead? They're a lot more accurate.
I don't think it's so obvious when every stat besides the simple rate stats say that he is right up there with them.

so? if a player of jeter's caliber is 2nd best, you know that that other guy has got to be awesome. thats a compliment to ARod, not a diss to jeter

But they are still having better overall years?
Beltran missed a few games too and for Wright and Delgado (who isn't having a good year I might add) to get rbis Beltran and Reyes have to get on.
