seriously, where's the love for mono or mogwai or any other band that isn't overhyped?

littlebeav
07/23/06, 01:39 PM
There have been many bands already posted here that are far from "overhyped". Please don't give us your snobby, indie-pussy bullcrap. How about the 2 latest Johnny Cash Albums? Or perhaps the upcoming He Is Legend CD? Did you forget Sufjan Stevens?

When you're done with the "holier-than-thou" bullshit, please come back and post something constructive.

you're the person with the holier than though attitude.

I never said anything here sucked, i just said where's the love for music that isn't all over AP's front page? it's hilarious that people were already willing to give TBS/STD/TEN the best cd of '06 before they had even heard them, but when I say "how about mono's new cd?" someone like you whines that I'm being a snob. sue me for listening to more than just trendy pop punk.

it's really hilarious that you defend this list against being overhyped, but then name drop sufjan stevens. unless you're assuming I listen to him, because I loathe that man.

i was saying that 2006 so far is being badass with cd releases...i nowhere stated that these were the best of all 2006, just that i liked these albums so far and that 2006 is being great so far. i also stated that you all should post what you think adds to this list. everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when you dont read every word and think about their meanings, then you shouldnt have an opinion. so shut the fuck up

because of sorta-popular bands like..
cartel-chroma
30 seconds to mars-a beautiful lie
damone-out here all night
....all 3 of which i think will be very popular eventually, especially cartel because what i've heard from them is poppy sounding and that's whats in right now...

and soon to come albums like
the killers-sam's town(which is out sometime in mid-september i think)
my chemical romance-_____________(i read somewhere it's out 10-24-06)
the causalties-under attack(out 8-22-06)
