Yea, Themata fucking rocks. Unfortunately Sound Awake.... not so much.

Still evens them out to be a fantastic band, that's how awesome Themata is.

Dude, Sound Awake is amazing. It just takes a little longer to get into, but the album as a whole is much better than Themata. Just give it time. Ian Kenny is turning into the public face of prog rock in Australia, and puts on an awesome show with his theatrics.

Are they big over there? Australia are fairly terrible at promoting their music scene, just wondering how it works for some of the bigger bands.

I don't really understand why you would rip on every Australian band but never offer any good ones.

Sometimes I feel like my and my friend are the only one in the states who know them. Obviously that's a stretch, but I don't know anyone else.

The crap we promote sucks. Short Stack, Wolfmother, AC/DC (though they are pretty much American), are all terrible.

Maybe the world isn't ready for Karnivool... At least you and I know good music when we hear it. Hope you see them when they are over.
