there will never be a show like LOST on ever again.....a show that uses AWESOME character development, uses all the necessary components of a quality TV drama show, and excalates it to extrodinary levels with sci-fi elements and an entire baray of subtle biblical moments that makes the TV show almost impossible to re-create.

I can't possibly know more about each of these main characters, other than the stuff the show leaves out on purpose in order to reveal it at a later time. The show is extremely charming with their characters...and if LOST has poor character development than I'm not really sure of any other show that does...

I didn't say the development is flat-out poor. I said the character development can be poor at times. There are several other shows that showcase an excellent example of character development. From my experience with Lost fans, they tend to think character development (or another quality) is incredible, when they haven't really seen other shows that are specifically praised for that quality.

I'm a somewhat big fan of Lost. At the risk of being swamped with Lost fanboys, I'm not going to mention several occasions during the show that just made me roll my eyes from the inconsistent characterization. The fifth season finale has a moment that is up there.

Lost is an interesting show. i wouldn't say it's the best show i've ever seen, but i would say that it's pretty good. definitely better than the majority of television, but there have been some bad/uninteresting episodes, as well as bad characters.
