'No Rain No Rainbow', Greeley Estates's fourth full length, came out a little over a week ago on January 26th 2010 through Tragic Hero Records. What is your opinion on it?

The overall sound is much stronger and concise then their previous work. I'm about three listens in to spending time with it. It's a pretty much straightforward scream at you rawr! sound. There doesn't seem to be much deviation from that at all.

I think this record would make a great coaster.

I don't see how a band can go from the sound of Far from the Lies to this album and expect to keep the same fanbase. Album is boring and generic and hope they don't keep this sound.

Like all of Greeley Estates' other albums, it sucks.

Yes,I find it just a little to cliche for the ever expanding world of music.

I loved their previous albums, hope this one's just as good.

Desperate Times Call for Desperate Housewives is one of my favorite tracks by them. Is the new album like that?

as for this I Shot The Maid is probably as close as it gets. Go West.. was one of my all time favorite albums. No Rain is way way heavier. Every song is super heavy I kind of wish it wasn't. the one thing I don't like on this album is the guest vocals I would have been fine with it but the guest vocals make the songs uneasy to listen to.

Love this album.
Greeley has such a distinct sound.
Not a huge fan of Zimmermans lows though.

Only complaint is that it has no interlude, its just constant facemelting.
Otherwise it is their best release IMO, and I hope they stay this heavy.
Props to Greeley putting out 3 cds that don't sound the same overall.

In the future, I wish Ryan would make an acoustic Greeley record and just sing, because he can. And he is capable of decent lyrics and melodies. And it would sound nice.

I agree to an extent. Unlike everyone else, I don't hate it. In fact, when I first heard it I had it on repeat forever. I was expecting something way different from them, but they got a lot .."tougher" (for lack of a better term). And although I did love it so much, there were a few things that bothered me. For one, I couldn't tell the songs apart. That really bothers me when an artist spends so much time to make a record, and they can't just make the songs sound a little different. Another thing I didn't like was how similar they sound to every other screamo/post-hardcore band out there, and that's where the cliche's start coming into play. The riffs, vocal ranges, even *sigh* the lyrics were a bit too like every other band in the world. But don't get me wrong, the album is VERY catchy.
