Below are the small band news submissions that we have received for today and yesterday:
* Tennesee Band L.A.O (http://www.myspace.com/lao). have decided to call it quits after over 8 years. Below is a statement from the band:
Brian here. It is with great disappointment that I sit down to write this letter to all of you, and to ourselves. Let's not be coy, and get right to the point- L.A.O. has broken up. There could be thousands of reasons listed here, hundreds of long, drawn-out explanations, but truth-be-told the band was just over. A series of events added up to a general discontent within the band, and after cancelling our summer tour we decided it best just to stop right here. We would rather walk away from our band at a point when all of the memories and experiences are still with us in a positive light, rather than have negative feelings overshadow all the amazing things we have seen and done together.
First and foremost, we would like to thank every single person who has ever helped this band in any way from the bottom of our hearts. Despite any discouragement we may feel from the industry, touring, etc., it is unexplainbly encouraging and comforting to know that there are people out there who have cared about us and will continue to do so. There are so many individuals, bands, venues, families, and so on that have done more for us than we ever thought humanly possible. And please realize how much we do appreciate every little action. If you ever came to a show, sang a long, stood in the front row, bought some merch, shook our hand, shared the stage with us, brought us gifts, fed us, housed us, hung out with us, put on a show, or even just left us a myspace comment, you own a place in all of our hearts forever. Thank you so much.
No one in this band is done with music. We are not exactly sure what the future holds, but feel free to keep in touch with each of us. If you want to hold on to a piece of us, we will be getting rid of all our remaining merch and CD's shortly- so stay tuned.
Again, we are sorry for anyone who is upset by this nearly as much as we are. But we truly believe this to be the best for everyone- band, friends, and fans alike.
Thank you.
Love,
Brian, Blake, Ty, Ryan, and Shoup
