I'm going to start doing this every day because I think we need a good daily discussion thread.

Would you rather: (serious question)

a) Have Stephon Marbury as your starting point guard
b) Have Shawn Bradley as your starting center

Shawn Bradley at center, because he doesnt control the ball. Stephon running the point is a nightmare for any team, because he controls where it goes and he's not only selfish, but a terrible decison maker.

I'll take Bradley because the team can recover from that unfortunate circumstance. I don't think a team can recover from having Marbury run the point.

great idea for a thread, btw.

Bingo...you can run a team by not passing the ball to your center. See the Pistons if you want proof...or the Bulls as well. Many teams in fact have a terrible Center who is only defensive, and they live on...name me a team without a quality guard that even really makes the playoffs.

bradley. provides nothing on offense, but plugs up the middle and may block a shot here and there on defense.

plus he's not a cancer off the court. which goes a long way.

actually, it'd be hard to find a player i wouldn't take over marbury. fuck, i'd rather have damon jones than starbury. and that says a lot, cause i'd rather have bradley over damon jones.

i'd take vin baker and his alcoholism + his contract over Marbury. That's how destructive Marbury has become, in my mind.

Marbury has a lot of talent that is just wasted....horrible. Bradley has a lot of height that is just wasted...haha

I 100% agree with Bradley by the way. Just take him out after the tip and play small ball. Haha

Shawn Bradley with ease.

At least he'll accidentally pull down a rebound or too. Marbury won't ever learn to pass.

I would really have to disagree with you, Marbury has talent, he can contribute to the team if he can be controlled. Bradley on the other hand is the most pathetic player to ever wear an nba uniform. trust me if you had him on ur favirote team for 4 years you would realize how worthless the guy is. Ive never seen it but im sure Mugsy Bouges & Eral Boykins could posterize the guy. Hes been posterized by players NO center should be posterized by. Hes slow, hes TERRIBLY weak. Speaking of Eral Boykins i think the little man out muscled Bradley once for a rebound. WHAT THE HELL???
He can block a couple of shots every now and then but thats just cause hes like 10'10. thats seriously all he has going for him. For me the clear cut answer is Marbury, even th ough he is a huge ball hog.

Lately this forum hasn't left much for debate. I like this idea.

As a knicks fan I'm biased. Bradley.

although i do own a marbury knicks jersey. brooklyn native playing in NY seemed like a no brainer to me at the time.
