Nope, this is NOT Tree of Life. This is another film!!! Starring Olga Kurylenko, Christian Bale, Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams.

Think you did too. I'm excited for this.
Hopefully we'll get something from Tree Of Life soon though.

More interested in Held By the Taliban than this.

I'm taking bets that this won't be released before 2015.

I love in that article it says the new romance should probably hit sometime in 2019.

I just want a movie by Malick to actually come out soon be it Tree of Life or the documentary that goes with ToL. The cast for this looks promising though.

Accidentally made my own thread. Whoops.
After much speculation, it has officially started shooting (in some capacity), as photos of Olga Kurylenko on-location in Oklahoma have surfaced.

Yeah, he mentioned in an interview after True Grit that he had just finished filming some scenes for it. Apparently he was only given part of the script, never told the name or when it would be released.

Yeah, I remember that interview. It must be amazing to just get a call that Malick wants you in his next film.

Title: To the Wonder
Rated R for "Some sexuality/nudity"
To refresh your memory, the story centers on a man (Affleck) who, feeling at loose ends, travels to Paris, and enters a hot-and-heavy affair with a European woman (Kurylenko). He returns home to Oklahoma, where he marries the European woman (in part for visa reasons), only for the relationship to fall apart. He winds up rekindling a romance with a hometown girl (McAdams) with whom he's had a long history. And while that sounds like a traditional storyline, early word was that the film was even more experimental than "The Tree Of Life" (whatever that means). But either way, nothing is ever very ordinary in a Malick film.

Very exciting news, but still no U.S. distributor or release date. Two Malick films in two years seems like such a luxury.
