US Airforce AFRAID of the White Stripes..real or PR STUNT

The White Stripes and their management have accused the Air Force Reserve of swiping “Fell in Love with a Girl” for a recruitment commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. “We believe our song was re-recorded and used without permission of the White Stripes, our publishers, label or management,” the band writes in a statement on their official Website (http://www.whitestripes.com/). “We have not licensed this song to the Air Force Reserve and we plan to take strong action to stop the ad containing this music.” The video and page housing it have both been pulled from the Air Force Reserve site.

Do you think this is real or a PR stunt to get more people to go to their website and become more of a fan by backing the "band that scares the gov"?

In addition: the US Air Force website has been receiving tons of press because of this.USA all the way?

The White Stripes take strong insult and objection to the Air Force Reserve's presenting this advertisement with the implication that we licensed one of our songs to encourage recruitment during a war that we do not support.

How could they make this up? It's real.

I know it could be real but thought it was weired to see The White Stripes Website Splash page directing people to the US Air force page all day even after they took down the ad.
