So I'm tryin to build a collection of live DVDs from bands. In most cases, I actually prefer those to studio albums.
So far I have:

*Green Day - Bullet in a Bible
*New Found Glory - This Disaster
*Fall Out Boy - ****
*Something Corporate - Live at Ventura Theatre
*Saosin - Come Close

Among others, but those are my favorites.

Anyone wanna recommend any live DVDs I should check out, to build my collection?

(Apologies in advance if there was already such a thread)

If you are looking for a live Blink-182 performance I don't know if they have a dvd just of one of their concerts but they do have the Mark, Tom, and Travis show live album and this private show they did around Enema of the State time and was brodcasted on the internet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0y0TF-OtaI (check out the info on that vid for the rest of the set) if you have firefox you can download the videos for free and burn them to a dvd disc. That's what I did.

Oingo Boingo - Farewell.

They're surprisingly solid 80s New Wave/Pop-Punk turned Alternative before any of the stuff popular on this site really came out. It was filmed on Halloween of 1996 if I recall correctly. See the version of "Little Girls" that they played to see what I'm trying to phrase.

Cannot say this enough! I'm disappointed no one on the first page mentioned it! IMO the best live DVD there is. If you're into it, Motley Crue's Carnival of Sins (although there is some annoying zooming in and out camera work), White Stripes 'Under Blackpool Lights', If you can find it, Guns n Roses MTV show from the Roxy in '88, hard to find but there are torrents out there (MUCH better than the livei n tokyo DVD - avoid that one)

All the Every Time I Die DVDs are fucking hilarious, especially shit happens.
Converge have a DVD, I haven't watched it yet though.
36 Crazyfists just released a DVD recently if that's your thing.
65daysofstatic - Unreleasable 3 is really good.
ADTR have some pretty good DVD although I'm not a huge fan.
Metal - A Head Bangers Journey, this is a pretty funny and interesting documentary about meta and how it has evolved.
American Hardcore: The History of American Punk Rock, similar thing but with hardcore.

This is all I can think of atm, I'm sure there some more that need mentioning.

Wow, congratulations for trying to sound cool there guy: I'll give you an A for effort but an F for following through with it.
Anyways, don't agree? I could care-less, they are a great band and your lame quote only proves that, as you hide behind your computer screen/avatar, you know you will never be an important indivual with people that care about you: like every member of Aiden actually are.
and why does this scenario always happen? It is somebody's opinion and I don't see why you don't respect that.

okay.

Aiden is a gimmkick. There image has been done to death. Their live performance is nothing short of an average "scene band" show. What with the flailing around on stage and what not. They're a terrible band...and almost everyone knows this.... It's kind of a fact.

Besides you didn't respect my opinion so you are a hypocrite.

I'd also like to add how can you judge me and tell me I'm not important and no one cares about me based on one thing I've "said"? That really shows your lack of intellegence. I have a loving wife a family who definetly cares about me and a plethora of friends and a music community/brotherhood that your 15 year old narrow minded mentality will never grasp.

A: It is spelt Gimmick, not "Gimmkick". (?) Learn to spell, gorgeous.

B: Aiden isn't a gimmick, they're a great band and I respect that even though haters like yourself completely thrash them for making good music, they are still on their feet and continuing to make even better music. But hey, that is my opinion and I don't believe anybody is in any position to determine what bands are overrated or underrated.

C: So now we are bringing age into this disscussion? Haha, wow, trying to get your point across by bringing somebody's maturity into an arguement is really a wonderful idea; but of course, I am the one arguing with a 27 year old man who is trying to prove himself to a narrow-minded 15 year old. God forbid.

D: Plethora? haha, somebody's been studying from their dictionary, haven't we now? Good for you!

F: Thanks for keeping this arguement up for disscussion, I've been so bored on here lately and actually having somebody quote me and fight a losing battle has made my day, but no, being totally serious right now. I don't care if you hate me or not, but i am still thankful to you for arguing with me. Fun ain't it?

1. Aiden do not make good music.
2. Age DOES make a difference
3. Plethora is a pretty common word

And for the rest of the thread - Dire Straits - Alchemy & On The Night (although I'm not sure you can get either on DVD? they're old) are pretty fantastic

EDIT - after quickly searching Amazon UK, apparently theres a DVD of DS live in Germany thats a US import...sounds good!

coming from the guy who's favorite band is Motley Crue (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field5=Motley+Crue), and Guns n Roses (http://www.absolutepunk.net/memberlist.php?do=getall&field5=Guns+n+Roses)? (your opinions though)
Aiden is good, but hey, remember that is my opinion, no need for you to thrash them mindlessly.
& again age does matter, especially since you are a grown man ( somewhat like yourself: still in the young adult stages I presume?) that fight with a younger person for pointless disscussion.

Come back in 30 years and we'll see if Aiden are still around. And I never said I was necassarily (I'm on my phone - no spell check for that one) any more superior at 21...and wait, you implied age doesn't matter, now you're saying it does?

A: oh...okay....I misspelled Gimmick what with my fumble fingers. Thanks for noticing.

B: Not trashing your opinion. If you wanna like 'em go ahead. I won't stop you. Keep in mind most people think they're terrible and that litterally is a fact.

C: the reason I bring age into discussion is because at the age of 15 you still haven't explored .05% of the music thats out there nowadays. Mark my words in a few years you will have forgotten all about Aiden and will have moved on to better music. At your age you are musically immature. Don't take offense to that (but I'm sure you will).

D: HAHAHAHA...you dick. Plethora is a common word for me. I studied English proficiently in college.

E: You missed this one and went strait to "F" (which is my favorite part)

F: I don't care if you like Aiden. I gave them a chance (slightly) when I was younger. However I don't hate you at all. You're cool in my book beacuse for someone your age you hold a stable argument.

talk to me anytime, bro.
