Though the whole mask thing, many of the lyrics, and countless other things about the band are fucking retarded, I always felt Slipknot gets a lot of undeserved hate. Vol. 3 is quality.

YES, though many people hate on em, i wouldn't have gotten into the heavier sides of metal (Death/Thrash/Prog/Black) without them, and their best effort is All Hope Is Gone, no more rap styled screaming :shrug:

I used to love this band sadly, Vol. 3 was pretty good. Too gimmicky though and "psychosocial" or whatever is horrible and has made me lose any hope in this band, haha. They did get me into heavier music originally so I have to give them a little credit.

I hated them for so long in gradeschool just because of their subculture, but when I started listening to different music I got into their S/T.
It was good for getting me hype, and they're a lot better than a majority of other bands in the genre.
