Jeremy Enigk, the former front man of The Fire Theft and Sunny Day Real Estate has posted 2 new tracks from his upcoming solo album World Waits (out October 17th) on his Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/jeremyenigk) page.

Thought he released them as an EP? I have some promo EP thing for that laying around somewhere.

yeah i hope the mass show doesnt sell out. i'm really looking forward to seeing him play. his solo stuff is good, reminds me of the fire theft but i dont care. this dude is one of my idols!

He plays "How it Feels to Be Something On"

I definitely think it was one of the best shows I've ever been to (though unfortunately if I ever saw SDRE I bet it would be on the list too). He played alone (wanted to do something different on this tour), which I thought I wouldn't dig - but def proved me wrong - it was a lot better. I mean it's just him and he switches from playing songs on piano to playing songs on guitar - and his voice just shines. He has this way of keeping the essence of his songs as they were on records, but also extending the sound live. It's hard to explain.

This was the tour with Cursive by the way.


I'm really jealous of UK-ians at this point since they're going to be getting mewithoutYou and Jeremy. I think my perfect tour would be:

mewithoutYou
Jeremy Enigk
Eisley
Thursday

Which may never happen but at the same time there's so many connections between all of them. Like:
1) mewithoutYou and Thursday obviousily know each other and have toured.
2) Eisley just spoke to Jeremy last night when they saw him in Dallas. And apparently Brand New is also on this UK tour with mewithoutYou, and Eisley has toured with Brand New.
3) I gave Geoff from Thursday an Eisley mix CD.
4) Jeremy has done vocals on mwY's record.
5) I make myself laugh with all these "connectiosn" and will just go on dreaming now...
