where are you going to school at? What is the program like?

i go to kansas state university. the program is pretty decent, a lot of hands on projects. very little computer work thus far.

Yeah. After I finish highschool I'm looking to go to Natcoll Design college, which is based fully on computer work and the likes.
I'm hoping it turns out like I want it to.

So after you guys finish studying, what careers are you looking at?

My school will be offering it as a minor this fall. I have a lot of open spots and could graduate a semester early but refuse to enter the real world and might end up minoring in it just because.

Iowa Western Community College, after that transfering to a four year school for more classes, after I finish the two year course I will have an Associates Art degree.

Best of luck to you. I have some questions. Can you draw with your hands? If you can not, do you feel that being unable to do so has had an effect on your design skills?

jmu has a program called media arts and design. it is very good from what i hear. graphic design is part of it.

heyromantica-can you draw well? or anyone here, really. i can kind of draw, but not that well and ive only taken art 1 and art 3 (skipped art 2, but not by choice and we wont get into that one) and i refuse to take art 4 because i really dont like my teacher and she doesnt like me. is this going to hurt me in the long run?

I was curious...what does someone with a BS (or BA) in graphic design do for a career? do u guys go on to get an MA or do u go straight to work? what's the starting salary like? job security?
