sigh.
So wrong, so very wrong. That song is the exact reason that I'm refusing to see this movie.

Step 1: Cry me a river.
Step 2: Build me a bridge.
Step 3: Get over it.

I hope there are snakes on your next plane ride so you can say to yourself, "Damn this is cool...oh shit, there's a snake about to bite my face."
I'd LOL, no lie.

OH NOEZ
Let me break it down:
The movie is intentionally awful. The song and the video are unintentionally awful.
It's awful because it tries so hard to celebrate something that's self-consciously bad as if it were unconciously bad. The song's awfulness is doubled by the fact that it comes in the form of a mall-rock emo song-- and making fun of something that's unintentionally funny through a medium that's unintentionally hilarious (because it sucks) is akin to a fat kid making fun of another fat kid by eating a double-helping of pie. And the worst part is, the music video is pretending for the sake of it's audience that the movie IS unintentionally funny, when in fact, everyone from the writers to the actors to the marketers of the film know that its supposed to be an ironic form of entertainment. In fact, that's how the movie is being pitched online (and presumably) in upcoming traditional ad campaigns. So here you have a group of musicians who perform music that is regularly ridiculed for being vapid, cliche, and embarrassingly self-important, performing a song that they think is ironically celebrating a movie that is unconsciously bad, when in fact, they come off as the only ones who don't really get the joke.
This video/song will destroy space, time, and the meaning of irony as we know it.
Wow. I think all I got out of that was that you're a big fucking ****** who thinks they know to much.
Haha. Awesome.
