Heavy Rain is getting some insane reviews.
I've played through so may Final Fantasy games the impact is a little watered down.
None the less, I will be renting both.
Heavy Rain. I've played games like FF before, but I'm anxious to see what Heavy Rain is like.

I'd go with Heavy Rain. I played the demo last night and I plan on picking it up.
FFXIII is linear to a fault. Fan hatred towards it is remarkably high.

I've had FF reserved for almost a month now, so I say that.
I do plan on checking out Heavy Rain, though, sounds good, though I keep thinking "Choose Your Own Adventure."

Heavy Rain. I'm pissed they turned FF13 into Vagrant Story with way better graphics and a fancy menu. I liked Vagrant Story but I like my FF with side quests and other diversions.

Heavy Rain EASILY and I am a FF fanboy. FFXIII while I am looking forward to it, will probably let me down immensely, Heavy Rain on the other hand looks amazing. Though I am getting both. The European Heavy Rain cover is so much better

What's the appeal of this Heavy Rain game? All the gameplay I've seen is like, choosing what your character says and walking around while controlling where you look. Looks like an interactive movie

I'm always into story heavy games, and generally only buy/play games that are story heavy, but that just seems boring to me.

GOW3 will be fun, but it is a mindless button masher with the occasional puzzle. I'm just hoping I have White Knight Chronicles finished by the time Heavy Rain comes out. Then like a week later both MLB10 the show and FFXIII come out

I had this problem with GOD I + II
A friend of mine recommend I play ti thinking I would be the type to love it but I got bored of the button mashing very fast.
I couldn't be bothered to get back into the swing of it.

Heavy Rain ftw! I've been so hyped for this game and the demo did not let me down. I felt like I was in control of a cinematic suspense movie. I can't get behind all the fantasy stuff in RPGs.

GOW3 will be a good game, but they never had much lasting appeal for me. I'd play them once and be done with it. Indigo Prophecy, the game made by the developers of Heavy Rain, I played through a ton of times. Final Fantasy 9 I have probably beat 5 or 6 times

Vagrant Story is the greatest RPG ever created. This game is hardly that.

Once you beat them i'm not sure how much replay value they would both have. I guess Heavy Rain has a lot of different outcomes, but i'm not sure about FF13

Get Heavy Rain beat it a couple times in 2 weeks I think it only takes 8 hours to get through it. After your done sale it and use the credit towards FF13
with so many good games coming out, i still don't know what to decide on. i'm really interested in Heavy Rain, but then early next month MLB 10: The Show comes out. i know they're completely different games, but i really only have the money to do away with one of two.
i may just play through Heavy Rain a couple times, then trade it in and get MLB 10.

lmao, I stressed for nothing.
I bought FFXIII the day it came out and on March 25 I bought a brand new copy Heavy Rain off of half.com for $40.00. It shipped yesterday and I got it in the mail today.
Heavy Rain was fantastic. I've talked to a lot of people who've played FFXIII and I really only know one who's enjoyed it.

Norman was killed fighting Scott in the end, with Scott getting away, and Madison caught on fire at his house. I failed the Butterfly Challenge and didn't kill the guy, but Ethan still survived and saved Shaun.. I thought the ending was great, probably gonna do a second playthrough sometime next week.

So I lied earlier. I got Heavy Rain and it's a much better game than FFXIII. I have both and FFXIII isn't as good as previous FF games but it's nowhere near as bad as X-2 lol. Heavy Rain though was thoroughly engaging and was an excellent game.

I wish it was longer, but it's paced incredibely well, and if it were any longer that might not be the case. You could probably knock it out in a solid day if you're gnarly enough

It's about 8 hours to a playthrough, but there are tons of outcomes and they're all quite different. So the game has a lot more replay value than other games available right now.

I work at a gamestop and they were giving them out as pre-order items, we always have extra lying around. It was really good, I would put the taxidermist in one of the top three most exciting parts of the game.

No, I haven't picked it up yet. I'll probably do it sometime, $5 isn't too much. I'll just get a $20 PSN card or something and pick up a few other things.
