WOW, First The CD of old shit. Now,a re-release, they must have to make up for studio time money 10 fold.
Next, they will issue demos of their new cd, followed by a new album, then a re-release with new demos.

I don't mind this re-issue, but the live DVD better be worth it. I do agree that re-issues are getting out of control though...But I will probably end up buying this.

I don't mind reissues... if they come out 2 or 3 years after the original, not 1 year after, that's just ridiculous.

I'm kinda curious as well. These probably sell to uneducated new fans to the band, but they can't sell THAT well.........can they?

And to the one that said fuck silverstein, its normally the label, not the band, that decides on rereleases. They prolly pitched the last demo cd, so I doubt they pitched this one.

Say thanks to tony!

The only re-issue I found somewhat necessary was The Junior Varsity's, because I couldn't find the actual CD anywhere....but didn't Discovering The Waterfront just come out?

The album sucked the 1st time round,
...and it's gonna suck again, plus a dvd.

wow...

At least the way I look at it... the re-issue will be replacing the old album in stores. At least, that's what happened with When Broken Is Easily Fixed.

The store I work at... you can't even find the original WBIEF anymore. Only the re-issue. So to the fans that don't have DTW already... they'll be buying the re-issue. Sure, people will still want to buy it. But it's not as if the label is forcing you to do so.

Though Victory does need to calm down with the re-issues. I'm sure June & The Forecast are due for some re-issues soon!

I'm in favor of all re-releases, from the buyer's standpoint. If you hadn't bought the album yet, now you get a DVD and extra crap with it. If you're the die-hard fan, you can buy the re-release to match the first release.

Don't complain about re-releases though. The record labels are just giving you more options. It obviously works well for the label too, since they keep re-releasing everything.

the best rerelease ever was "...Is A Real Boy" I think we can all agree on that

However, for fans who aren't 'die-hard' and already have the CD, they'll have to shell out another $10-15 to see the DVD, even though they already purchased the album. It's stupid. I'm not in this boat with the Silverstein album, I'm not a fan. But still, you get my point.

....weird because my cd of discovering the waterfront came with a dvd. it was like 2songs of them perfroming in worcster at the palladium and it was like a making of the cd. i forget because i havent watched it in a while but mine came with a dvd so i hope its not the same thing or otherwise thats stupid for people who are buying it.

Victory's never done that before!

I'm so tired of Tony Brummel's shit over at Victory and this just adds to it (along with every other re-release they put out), but I'm very curious as to why Victory and T&N (a label I own wayyy too many CDs from) continue to put these out. Are they trying to piss people off on a regular basis or just taking my Monopoly money, because when I pass GO and collect my $200, the last thing I want to do is spend it all on fucking re-released shit!

Mark Orr

Yeah this is getting annoying. I can see why Victory gets stick but I still like a lot of bands on that label.

Bayside, The Audition, TJV.

Which I'm gonna start doing if this keeps up. I've bought 4-5 CDs that were re-released. This is BS.
