Not on the defensive side, but I hope Eli pushes it to the next level this season. But yeah, the Giants should be able to do some damage on D this year, particularly up front.

I have yet to pick an NFL team to cheer for. I think it may be the Giants.

But yeah, the Giants should be able to do some damage on D this year, particularly up front. You mean exactly like they did last year? Their front seven played really well all season, other than the playoffs, but then, that was an all around collapse. I'm satisfied with what they did this offseason, but I'd be a little more comfortable had they done some more work on their secondary.
Everytime a ball gets thrown near Curtis Deloatch I have to cross my fingers. I think he single handedly gave up every single touchdown against the Giants last year.

:DTaylor's good, but when you compare his first 3 years to Osi's, it's no contest. Osi is the next Strahan.

Hey Ron Dayne did something right.
Taylor's good, but when you compare his first 3 years to Osi's, it's no contest. Osi is the next Strahan.
well, since Taylor > Strahan too, thats not really saying much
oh, and here are the stats:
Taylor's first 3 years:
45 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 FF
52 tackles, 9 sacks, 3 FF
45 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 int, 1 td
osi's first 3 years:
20 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF
58 tackles, 7 sacks, 3 FF, 1 td
71 tackles, 14.5 sacks, 4 FF
but then you forgot to mention the part that taylor has had at last 8.5 sacks 8 different years. i bet you osi never does that. to compare these 2 is crazy. osi's had 1 good year...

osi's had two good years. out of three.
to compare these two is stupid just because of the difference in career lengths so far. it's like trying to compare favre's career numbers with eli's.
taylor is one of my favorite players though. i love that dude.

you cannot compare the 2nd end on the depth chart to the 1st. Strahan warrants more pass protection, which leaves Osi more available to make the sack. Taylor warrants the pass protection in Miami and still gets quite a few sacks. Both players are good, but you cannot compare them.
With Phlly beefing up their d-line this year I think either Howard or Kearse will be in the top 5 in sacks.

yeah i forgot that too...taylor is double and triple teamed every down. osi isnt

Yes, much like they did last year, but with Arrington playing well and not so many linebackers injuries. I meant more that, while they did have a good defense last year, this year the defense will be better "known." I'd also like to Webster live up to his potential and help out that secondary.
