I'd say there is just much complaint about Brand New as there is praise. Which is a shit load on both ends. But my thing was, that no one here really gives a shit about mainstream pop (with the exceptions of Gaga.) I know the sites not about punk but its not about MC or Celene Dion either

Most artist have their musical masterpieces, then a lot go down hill.

Mariah has made some genius songs musically, as well as vocally. I wouldnt say shes as good musically as my other favorite aritsts (Prince, Nirvana etc) but shes definitely up there.

I seriously think people should hear the album "Butterfly" by Mariah because its more than an album, its a story. The lyrics and vocals are perfection.

Her cover of Prince's song "The Beautiful Ones" featuring Sisqo is an example of how great Mariah can be musically

Prince's original is seriously amazing (I mean the passion he brings, especially toward the end), Mariah's isnt as good, but I also love Mariahs, it gives it a different feeling.
