their new album can be downloaded for free from http://thatspunk.net/blog/2010/02/youth-pictures-of-florence-henderson-youth-pictures-of-florence-henderson/ and bought from http://www.howisannierecords.com - DO IT. if you haven't heard of this band before, now is the time. it's sort of a cross between emo, alternative and math rock. they borrow from Mineral and Christie Front Drive on one side, early The Get Up Kids and Weston on one side, and then Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky on the third side. the end result is completely amazing whether you are a fan of emo and alternative or you are a fan of the ambient and atmospheric (often instrumental) modern math rock scene. they get great reviews all over the place, and generally generate a fair bit of Internet hype - but far from enough. check this band out! :)

live.

Came here for Mrs. Brady nudes.

Somebody mentioned these guys to me before once. I'll check them out after class.

they actually took their name from the phrase "nude pictures of Florence Henderson", on a documentary about her, heh.

because you give a link to a blog in which there is a link for the YPOFH album. I think the band would not be ok with that.

If people want to dl the album, they will find it themselves on google.

I'm friends with the band. the reason I've uploaded their album (and all of other releases from that label) is to share it with everyone. music is something that should be shared and appreciated by everyone. with that said, I definitely want to encourage the financial support of the band by those able - especially considering how great the packaging is.

btw if I just made a thread about the band without any links to check them out, I think most people would not care.

If Anders, the rest of YPOFH and how is annie are ok with that, I'm ok.

I said it a few times on this board (and on others boards and last fm) : this album is awesome and the packaging is great. Really worth the money.

I don't have Make It A Dead One actually. that's one of two bands not on the blog as of now. =/ also guys - the album is now up in 320kbps. the previous upload was 128kbps by a mistake.

The titles are a bit unnecessary, but I really enjoy the music. I'm having trouble finding where to purchase the album though. It's not available on itunes or amazon...

I've posted the link to http://howisannierecords.com/ about a bajillion times in both my blog post and in this thread. that's the record label's site. you can purchase it from there, along with a lot of other great releases. :)

Alright thanks. I didn't exactly want to wait for a physical copy, but I guess it's my only option right now, since the music download didn't work on my computer haha.

it should definitely work? it works on my computer, and everyone elses at least - heh. good luck with the physical copy though. it should be fast enough. they don't get all that many orders - which is absurd, because the album is glorious.

The new album is absolutely brilliant. Well worth the $20, or whatever it costs, the packaging is very well done.

for those of you who don't know, Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world, so actually - a "regular" CD (major label CD) usually costs between kr150-200 ($25-35) at a record shop, so for them to put out a 2CD 32-paged A5 book for $20 (which is a little more than what I paid for mine, shipping included) is pretty cool.
