A collection of art and writings from the independent music scene is being released. Bands included are The Spill Canvas (http://www.absolutepunk.net/thespillcanvas), Cartel (http://www.absolutepunk.net/cartel), Sugarcult (http://www.absolutepunk.net/sugarcult), and Motion City Soundtrack (http://www.absolutepunk.net/motioncitysoundtrack). You can view the ecard here (http://www.vjeramusic.com/expecard.html) and order it for $10 right here (http://www.vjeramusic.com/store_exposed.php).

The best $10 I've spent. The stories are fun to read, especially Justin Pierre's (of Motion City Soundtrack) story about working at a Red Lobster. The art and photography is killer. There's also a built in journal that you can write in to respond to what you have read.

I'm pretty sure it's got William, Thomas from The Academy Is... and Travis McCoy from Gym Class as well.

Here's to hoping someone can answer the following question:
Where does the money from their book/shirt sales go to?

Yeah, that ecard is irritating. This sounds like something cool though. And for only $10, I may check it out.

what exactly is "all these things"??? I have no idea, nor does it show anywhere what's in it. Are they relying solely on names? Because the cover art is not that great either.

There're writings and art by the bands. I would assume poems and photography and such.
It's just a show of the artistic skills these bands have aside from the musical perspective.

hey my name is chris and i was one of the two editors who put together and published exposed. first i wanted to say THANK YOU to absolute punk and everyone who has made comments on this thread, we appreciate it and will take them all into consideration. in terms of seeing pieces from the book, there is a section in the e-card after all of the music and graphics that says "contents" where you can see some stuff. i appologize for the e-card being a little long and annoying but what can ya do, we are in the process of building a new website that should launch in the next week or two so hopefully it will have more info and images to see! thanks again and feel free to contact me with questions/comments/etc chris@vjeramusic.com or on aim chrisvjera

They used the Comic Sans font and squished a bunch of pictures together...this angers me.

I loved Shawn's drawings. And Will Salazar's stuff, awesome. So it is like Revolution on Canvas, ...Exposed is still a good book and well worth the money spent.

this book is a blatant ripoff of Revolution on Canvas... that is undeniable...
way to shamelessly try and cash in on someone elses idea - that had meaning behind it (donating to family literacy).... not to mention the book itself: terrible layout / formatting.. and you even ripped off the subtitle of the book.... have you no shame?
ps- cannot wait for roc2
