Hated this band the first time I heard them. But they grew on me. Would love to hear something new from them.

Didnt they put out a new song that sounded drastically different awhile ago? Then they just vanished?

I'm stoked to find other Paulson fans on here! I was in a thread awhile back and noticed that somebody from Paulson had posted in it so I decided to contact them and see what the deal was. Guy's name is Alex Burton and he was a very nice guy. Here's what he said:
"After touring for a million years, we finally got some recognition with legit press, record labels, etc. Unfortunately, we kind of picked the wrong label. While our record, All At Once, was doing really well with the press, our label could seem to figure out how to effectively stay on top of our needs and we found ourselves running out of records on the road, having the label waste money on misplaced features, and lacking in tour support. Finally we went to write our new record. We wrote about 20 songs, and I honestly don't know if our label listened to any of them. While we were working on this frustrating situation, we went through a few line up changes, and our label then informed us they were too broke to afford our full advance for our next record. Everything we built kind of seemed to be falling apart around us and so we all started focusing on our home lives. Various members started landing sweet jobs and getting engaged and that put an end to us doing things for a bit.
However, we are still together, we just perform very infrequently. There's been a few developments as of late that indicate that we'll be playing more, and hopefully releasing a new record within the year."
If you want to hear more about Paulson's status, you can find one of their members (Alex) on AP. Again, he's a very nice guy and will probably get back to you.

All at Once is one of my favorite albums, and Variations isn't too shabby either. However every new song they've posted since has kinda disappointed me. Definitely have not lost hope though. Their live performance is the best I've ever seen

My band recorded with Mike Poorman, who did All at Once this summer. I sounded like the biggest fanboy. All I kept saying was "I want you to make my voice sound as good as you made his."
