The line up/set times/locations were posted yesterday for all the official SXSW shows/showcases. This is my favorite time of year without a doubt. Who else is pumped?

I don't know anything about this tour, but I know many many people usually clog the forums with separate threads about it. So this thread can be the official thread to discuss & update anything & everything in regards to sxsw 2010. Hope that's OK.

Last year there were a lot more bands I wanted to see. Also, a lot more big bands. Most notable bands I have come across this year are Motion City Soundtrack and Eisley... There are quite a few indie bands that I am excited about, but last year there were far more big names. Maybe they will add more?

I'm glad someone started this thread! I was going to do it last week sometime but I forgot. I keep mentioning this band because they're kinda new and I feel like they deserve some attention, and coincidentally they'll be at SXSW! They're name is Francis, they're from Sweden, I saw them at CMJ this year and the live show totally sold me on them. http://www.myspace.com/francisishere

There is my schedule for all the official bands playing. Yes, I know a lot are missing that's because they aren't official SXSW artist. Do yall see anyone I should add and possibly check out?

The whole point of SXSW is generally to find new artists. You always have a lot of new talent showing up. People saying they don't want to go because there are no bands they know/like makes me sad :\

Also, it's times like this I'm angry I live so damn far north.

also, SXSW rules for me becuase all of the bands come by arizona before they reach texas.
