Okay, so I found out today that Falling Up broke up. Im really upset about this. Now, with that being said, somebody please fill me in on this whole The Gloomcatcher/The River Empires. I'm really really confued and Myspace is not helping at all. Are they diffrent bands, and Jesse is in both?! Help...

Yeah it's pretty gutting about Falling Up. Yeah, Jessy is in both. As far as I'm aware, the Gloomcatcher is basically his solo project and The River Empires is a collective effort with other musicians. Jessy sings and takes the lead though.

No problem. Bit surprised you like TG that much more than TRE. Particularly as TG only have one song up. I guess it's a difference in music tastes - TRE is more bluesgrass/folky than any of Jessy's other projects. Personally, I really like how TRE is sounding but I'm excited to hear what TG produces. Still, I'm disappointed we're not having any more Falling Up albums. :-(

The River Empires released their debut album today, "Epilogue". And everyone should definitely pick it up. 10 bucks on iTunes, and the album has 29 songs on it. Plus, it was produced by none other than Casey Crescenzo.

If you buy it through the link of the River Empires' page, you get both Epilogue and the Gloomcatcher CD for $10. Either way, definitely worth the pick up.

I'm not sure dude, i'd myspace Jesse and see where he leads you dude.

Anyways, since i'm actually FROM the area (Albany, OR) of Falling Up/TRE/Gloomcatcher, I'd let you guys know of a few other projects from other Falling Up members

The Send is Joe Kisselburgh's solo project, a new CD will be out sometime in 2010/2011

Becoming An Archer is former guitar player (from Crashings/Dawn Escapes) Tom Cox's new band, he does lead vocals and friends of mine support. They currently have one song on iTunes, called Be Alive. From what I was told, this isn't the final version of the song, but they released something because people wanted something to tide them over until a record was out. Kisselburgh from The Send is recording/mixing the record, which will be out sometime soon hopefully, its hard to tell.

The River Empires album is titled "The River Empires - Epilogue" or "Epilogue: The River Empires" in that the word "The River Empires" is in the title (it's listed different on various sites).

Both TRE and The Gloomcatcher albums are ace.

Also people should be aware, TRE albums/music is in effect music for a series of movies. 7 volumes and 3 movies are to be made.
