Ben Harper (ex-Yellowcard) will be the second guitarist for Amber Pacific (http://www.absolutepunk.net/amberpacific) on their upcoming AP.net sponsored tour (http://www.absolutepunk.net/amberpacifictour).
The big news is that Ben Harper (founding and former member of Yellowcard / current president of Takeover Records) is going to be our second guitarist on our upcoming end of summer tour. Yes, this confirms the rumors and speculation. Ben is an awesome guy and we are really excited to have him out with us for the tour. Ben hasn't toured with anyone since Yellowcard. So come say hi on tour and hang out him and all the rest of the bands. Once again, the tour line-up is: The Audition, Sherwood, This Day & Age, Over It, Just Surrender, & All Time Low.

Fuck Yellowcard. Ryan Key's pretentious ben folds-esque posturing is growing tiresome. Ben Harper is 'da man'. He was the only yellowcard member I even liked, besides lp. Good to hear he's on to something better, if only for a little while

You can run a label, run a zine, start a clothing company, book shows, or whatever else DIY stuff you want...but nothing beats being on stage and playing music. I am very glad to hear this for Ben's sake.

I already mentioned this like 5 days ago (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=3800670#post380067 0). Ryan of DLD/Over It told me at Portland's warped tour date. Should be one hell of a fun show. Who was playing 2nd guitar for Amber Pacific in February when they toured with Paramore and is now no longer in the band?

This tour will rake in more sales than Yellowcard's. Maybe. I hope. Just so Ryan can be like, "Motherfucker...why am I such a dick?"

too bad amber pacifc sucks compared to the rest of the lineup. I dont understand why they are the headliners....oh well a concert that brings just surrender, over it, and freaking all time low is one that ill be at

Are you done?
Amber Pacific is headlining because they will likely be one of the next big things and have steadily gained a pretty big fan base despite the fact that they arent played on the radio or mtv...
I cant wait to see this show in Portland in October....and is the Satyricon really re-opening or something or is that a venue typo on AP's website?
Sucks this tour isnt coming to canada...
Yes, it does.

so what exactly happened to their other guitarist? i swear the dudes from amber pacific must've shit themselves when they heard that he'd do that for them. i know i would if i were in a pop punk band knowing that his former band yellowcard was one of the bands that help shape the sound of pop punk with their one for the kids cd and the underdog e.p. i'd be very greatfull. good to know this dude is tour again. maybe he'd stay as a permante member :)

You'll have to go to Chicago or Covington to see the tour, there's not gonna be an Indy date. Those are the closest dates. Or maybe Toledo.. not sure how far that is from Indy.

is this just something you pulled out of your ass or what?
but damn, i really wish he would have decided to fill in for ANY other band besides amber pacific. that band blows my wang. in fact, they just got done giving me the biggest blowjob of the century. they are leaving right now.

thats awesome, but why is everyone all, thats great for ben to get back on stage. he has like so many AMAZING cds out and he is just awesome. and ive seen him in concert plenty of times making way better music then yellowcard can make and amber pacific can make. he is over qualified to play with a bad band like amber pacific. but good for them.
