The suns are about the same...assuming Amare is 100%
The Spurs? I dont know how they improved so far this offseason, all theyve done it picked up a couple of mediocre roleplayers, and had 3 imporatnat guys leave the team. Most people in SA belive they are falling down in the Western Confrence food chain.
Dallas has made the most moves so far, and all thevyve givin up of worth is Marquis Daniels.

I think the Suns will be better then SA at least. The Clippers all the way though.

i still think Dallas will take Pho next year. Diaw & Amare are gonna be hard to stop though.

the suns will win the west. i promise. with amare back, assuming he is healthy, dallas wont stand a chance. it took 7 games to beat them without him...phoneix would take them in 5.

the mavericks pickups this season are not that great. croshere keeps declining, and at best will only put up around 7 and 4 per game. anthony johnson has put up two decent seasons, his numbers and minutes will likely decline with the mavericks. nothing needs to be said about buckner or ager, neither will likely see much more than mop up minutes.

the suns basically added an all star to last seasons playoff run. throw in marcus banks, who is 8 years younger than johnson, backing up nash, that's pretty solid pick ups.

the spurs did not add much, jackie butler could be a huge sleeper this season though. i'd ecpect him to put up a bit higher numbers than nazr did. the spurs are always contenders, and always favorites. and i'd say the same goes for this season.

a team people forget about, barring injury, is houston. if t mac is healthy, yao ming is healthy, and that team plays to their potential, plus a very hard working shane battier...and the rockets could win 50 games this season. but those are big if's

i think dallas will be in contention, but i'd personally pick the suns and spurs ahead of them.

nah i think Miami is still a better team. Chicago I think has a legitimate shot too.

The 6-8, free-agent forward was a vital part of the Lakers' championship teams with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. That experience is what has the Mavericks excited about the possibility of landing him with a veteran's minimum contract, about $1.2 million guaranteed.

That's a very nice pickup for the vet minimum. Surprised how far his stock has fallen. Glad he's gone though.

Atleast he's athletic. He can play some good d when he feels like it. Probably better than anything else they were gonna use their vet min on.

yeah he has a lot of playoff experience as well and I'm sure that is what they are looking for. in the playoffs he didn't play too well this last season.

yeah he's been hurt/sucking dick most of the past two years but he was pretty good in the kobe/shaq era

yeah I think he was just good because with all the attention drawn to Shaq and then Kobe, he was wide open a lot. He was a product of a good system.

Suns will be better than dallas this year. This is the Suns year to make the finals assuming Amare stays healthy and is able to play effectively which i think he will as the season goes on
