I just want to know what everyone's favorite love song is. Or maybe a song that you listen to when you miss a certain someone...?

I have to go with The Early November "1000 Times a Day"

I suppose it's more of a love story than a love song.

But I believe it describes love in the simplest of form while still managing to captivate you with an iconic story.

And the trumpets at the end are just remarkable.

Thank you so much. I've always wanted to listen to the Get Up Kids but I just feel like I started too late. "Sympathy" is really the only song I've listened to from them on a regular basis.

I'm thanking you because I just listened to this song and it's pretty perfect. Especially the 4:20 playing time. You gotta love that.

great choice. always so beautiful and endearing. im personally a fan of "billion bees", the way he describes the feeling in that song gives me shivers.

my answer to this thread is, probably any love song ever written by the decemberists, but if i had to pick an absolute FAVORITE, it's probably "on the bus mall". who ever thought it'd be a song about homosexuals.

KD's such a great lyricist. Billion Bees is an otherwise boring song to me but the words are magnificent. "The sky bled watercolor blue" = one of my favorite opening lines.

I never listened to The Decemberists. I should get on that.
