Senses Fail (http://www.absolutepunk.net/sensesfail) have released a press release for their new album Still Searching.
Los Angeles (July 25, 2006) – On October 10th Vagrant Records will release Senses Fail’s second full-length Still Searching. It has been nearly two years since the Bergen County, New Jersey five piece released its debut full-length CD Let It Enfold You (Vagrant) and much has happened for the band in that time. They have seen that CD go on to sell over 300,000 copies; they’ve graced the covers of magazines, performed live on national television and toured the world.

Recording for the highly anticipated Still Searching began in May of 2006 with acclaimed producer Brian McTernan (Thrice, Cave-In) at Bearsville Studio in upstate NY. The band entered the studio with a new guitarist, Heath Saraceno. Saraceno joined Senses Fail’s original members, vocalist James "Buddy" Nielsen, guitarist Garrett Zablocki, bassist Mike Glita and drummer Dan Trapp, to create what is the certainly the band’s most adventurous musical effort to date. Still Searching was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, AFI, Stone Temple Pilots).

Still Searching features a new musical cohesiveness resulting from hundreds of shows and tens of thousands of miles on the road. “It has been almost three years since we have written a new record and the long wait allowed us to change in ways we never thought possible,” explains Nielsen. “This record is the account of those years. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it."

To support the release of Still Searching, Senses Fail will embark on a standing-room-only club tour in late September through the first week of October. Immediately following the club dates the band will fly out to join the Taste Of Chaos Tour for a seven week jaunt through Australia, Japan and Western Europe. The band is currently featured on the main stage of the Vans Warped Tour through August 13th.

Still Searching is the band’s third CD overall. The band’s first, From the Depths of Dreams was released on August 16, 2002. A six-track EP on ECA Records, later re-released by Drive-Thru, it went on to sell 250,000 copies and chart on The Billboard 200.

Apparently you're very, very new to this band.

They don't suddenly suck live.. it's been this way since Buddy decided to get behind the mic. Which certainly wasn't 2006.

I wonder what they'll sound like here. idk about them sucking live, when I saw them last August with MCR in London they were really solid. Maybe I just got lucky.

I know all of Senses Fail and Heath. he infact IS an official member, and has been for a while. they are just announcing it now with this press release.

why would you doubt a press release anyway?

oh, and Gabe's Cobra Starship is now on Decaydance, and Heath is now in Senses Fail. so there's your answer concerning Midtown. they're over.

I'm also really stoked on this cd. To me, this is one of my favorite bands. I've yet to see them live, but both cd's they've released have been amazing. "Let it enfold you" is in my opinion one of the best cd's I own. Such a well rounded cd, so catchy.

I'm very interested to see this cd come out!

I read in a inteview that Heath brought a Hum / Far / Cave In influence to the new stuff... if that is true then it certianly is atleast worth a listen.
