Connections have absolutely nothing to do with how good a band is. I know someone who used to play guitar in my band. He was a better guitar player than anyone else I've ever heard, and I listen to a lot of technical guitar players. I'd put him above people like Clapton/Hendrix/Page/Vai any day of the week, he was that good. What's he doing now? Construction work. Just becuase he's making 10 bucks an hour building houses doesn't make him less of a guitar player.

and some lame ass kid who happens to know someone who works for a label is in now way better than him.

I know this is going to come as a shock to you, but when we're talking about the quality of a band, connections and popularity don't mean shit. Some of the greatest music I've heard has come from bands who probably won't stay together long enough to get signed. there is no way panic at the disco is better than those guys.

Yeah, I with Mother Teresa hadn't died so she could take humble lessons from these fine boys.

Here are the facts.

I don't think anyone blames Panic on cashing in on their fast success, or their luck. What we have a problem with is the fact that there are so many more talented, original, hard working bands that deserve recognition. Panic doesn't deserve anything.

Panic At The Disco unfortunally have a decent following around where I live . As well as *shudder* Hedley who admits they suck , so at least they can tell the truth well . But one of the many things I find annoying about Panic At The Disco is they think they are the best band to ever grace the planet with their music ...which is a load of crap . Another thing is their quick rise to the top , I can name over a hundred bands that deserve the recognition which Panic At The Disco are currently receving , although dont know if those bands would want their music to be the top call in on TRL or something simular . So do the music world a favour and help put these flavours of the month in the bargin bin at the local cd store .
