Such a good song. I'm glad to see they're trying to progress musically instead of doing the same thing over again. I think Catalyst was just a stepping stone for this CD which is going to be amazing.

i liked it, the lyrics are lame. Ii was driving around with the windows down listening to my ipod on shuffle, and i just felt like a real pussy when this song came on so i switched the tracks and then 2's and 3's came on and i felt better.

Its super different - his voice changes so much different each album it says a little bit more mature. It's a different sound of vocals for him.

your right it really does.....hopefully the rest of the album is really upbeat....i couldn't hate anything that nfg does... but i need my fix of good fast songs... i can't wait to hear the new album.....

The exact same thing crossed my mind in the first 30 seconds. I have a feeling that all the songs on coming home are going to feature that whole piano over guitars intro, which'll make most of the songs sound similar. Hopefully, NFG won't use 'maturing' as an excuse to put out an entire record of sub-par material...

the band yellowcard quickly comes to mind as a perfect example...

LOL. it's so true. Jordan sounds great. The Matt Skiba reference is kind of close but it's because theres two layers to the vocals (high and low). It's more like Jordan sounds like Alkaline Trio. Pop-Punk heaven is pretty much the only way to describe this song.

'it's not your fault' and this song are fantastic. NFG seem to have taken a bit more of the pop aspect of their writing and incorporated it into that 'rock' soudn tehy found on catalyst.
Personally, i think this is everything NFG has always strived to be.
I've always seen Truth of my Youth as a perfect example of what NFG is and will strive to be. It sums them up in one song, and these new songs are very much in that vein.
It's great to hear one of my favourite bands becoming even better

I love this song. I'm not so fond of both of the songs that they released having piano intros, considering they don't officially have a piano player. As much as I love these songs, I do wish for them to be faster paced, like every song off their self titled. That and Nothing Gold Can Stay were by far the best CDs they put out, hands down. Also, If they would rid themselves of the EXTREME poppyness that would be super. Other than that, great work guys. I'll see you in NJ.

You had to have known that NFG was going to be more piano heavy sooner or later. EVERYONE in pop-punk is doing piano shit these days. And while I agree that self-titled was probably their best effort, you can't really deny that 'sticks and stones' was the perfect balance of fast and slow NFG. You had "understatement", but you also had "sonny". You had "my friends over you", but you also had "head on collision". Everything was balanced so well, and everyone was happy (omit a few diehards who hate change). THATS what they need to get back to doing!
