I'm thinking this might finally be the thing for me and I was wondering if anybody else on AP knows what it's like to go through the process.
What kind of study habits do you have and what kind of stuff do you do in the classes?

Sorry. I have a friend in vet school at Cornell, but I deal with people myself. I know it's really hard to get in and I'm sure it's a lot of work, just like med and dental school.

Yeah. That's what I've found out from doing some research. I wouldn't expect anything less. I was just hoping someone would be able to share their experience and stuff they had to do to even apply. Ohhh wellll.

I would imagine it's fairly similar to med school. Take its test, get good recommendations, hope for some interviews and then fight for a spot. There are just so few spots for vets.

The school schedule for Vet students is usually pretty rigorous. Basically a 40 hour work week on top of trying to have an actual job to make money to pay for rent/books/etc. It's a hard road, not to mention something just technical about the profession (don't want to deter you from any decision) but recently in the past 5 years or so techs have been doing more of the work themselves leaving the vets with less to do, and due to this the bills are less expensive because a vet isn't doing things themselves. Therefore both jobs (vets and techs) make significantly less money then they could be if the vets would do more of the work. Good luck.
