Aside from MCR and Coheed, what other bands have done the whole comic book thing? Is it just those two?

Haha. They're not rappers, they can't come out with an album every six months.

i heard some of the songs from the next record played live. I think the band wants to sound like U2. The songs are all over-the-top arena anthems. Not a good idea imo.

and for the record, they never said they were making a series based on the new album, gerard is just making a comic book, so stop comparing them to coheed

if you are trying to compare my chem to the beatles, or any band in the history of music to the beatles especially when it coems to work ethic and material being recorded then thats not really fair. when the beatles were around none of the esources were around that are available today that make bands HAVE to span out their records more because of the massive touring and promotion and singles being released and whatnot. not to mention the beatles had one of the worst record deals ever and it was said they received 1 cent per album sold -- 4 ways.
Im looking forward to it.
i hope they take their time and find a mix b/w the two records they've previously put out.

Note to everyone: The article says that he's just writing it, he isn't doing the art.
my brother did say he saw him and the san diego comic-con this past weekend, now it all makes sense!

yeah i know and i wasnt jumping down ur throat or being a jerk it's just the beatles are pretty special musicians and it was the best example u probably could have given as far as commercial releases in a span of time.

the comic book and the cd should be awesome.
I think this band is only popular because they rode on Thursdays Coat tails
i even read an article where Gerard said the only reason he wanted to start a band is because he saw how big Thursday got

I can't believe non teen/pre-teen girls like this band. If you are a guy and think this band is kick ass you should really question your masculinity or that you actually have a set of nuts in between your legs. First retarted clothing, then action figures, now a comic book... isn't this a red flag to the world that this band has reached the pinnacle of crappiness. Well I guess you can't reach a pinnacle when you are shitty to begin with. Bands should just lay off the whole were sad depressed goth rockers, the cliche is so laughable. From First to Last, MCR, new school AFI, and pretty much everyone on Victory records needs to realize that you are not in high school anymore. No one but depressed 13 year old girls care if you wear all black and cover yourself in makeup. So MCR and all your goth friends keep striving for that rainbow because each and everyday you produce shitty music and wear your little makeup your getting more and more 13 year old girls to jump into your bed and make sweet love to your pedifile asses.

people like you need to shut the fuck up.....you think you're so fucking cool because you hate the so called "scene music".....what happened to people liking music that just sounded good to them and not what their image is. i may not be into the commercilization of many artists or their over all image but I DONT FUCKING CARE!!! i like bands for the music they do and not comics, action figures, or their name brand toilet paper....its all about the music.

Hey I like bands for their music not the shit they wear or the products they sell. If MCR was remotely good then they wouldn't need comic books, action figures, or special clothing to tget their name out. They wouldn't even need the whole image of them being dark and shit. If your music is good it doesn't matter what the fuck you look like. Bands who produce truly good music (Bouncing Souls, Rise Against, Strike Anywhere, Propagandhi) don't need to look good, wear special clothes, have coreographered dancers, or comercialize their name like crazy. Just good music the way it should be.

Man you are such a worthless, peice of SHIT. I mean who fuckin died and made you Lord of the fucking music. If you know ANYTHING about this band you'd know that they're just having fun and really dont give a shit about the money or anything like that and make the music that THEY want to make. Its not their fault that they have become very popular, its because they are a good band and At least they have their own sound. Your such a fucking ****** and your the one going out of his way to post something about a band that you dont even like you loser . Dont fucking tell me to question my mascolinity just cause i like this band. Ill fucking drive all the way over to where ever the hell you fucking live and kick your ass and show you these nuts between my legs if i have to you. fucking scene queen.

i like his art alot and think he has alot of talent in drawing, etc. i wonder what the storyline will be like, hopefully not based off his music like CoCa's is. i never liked that aspect of claudio's work.
