For both of you, I have no problem with Incubus as a band, they were one of my favorite bands IF not my favorite band in 2002. But Drive is easily one of the worst songs off any album before Crow Left of the Murder. And yes, I like Fall Out Boy. I became a fan of theirs when they were still playing garage shows with kids from my high school, so yes. But consider I did not say Fall Out Boy - Sugar We're Going Down (or their highest charting song, which may be a different song) was my favorite Fall Out Boy song.

I don't feel like getting into some flame war over the internet, so don't respond to this.

I would put it in my top 10 for sure, possibly my top 5, but it's so hard to rank those things. I always wondered why "Believe" never got more play (from the general public) as a 9/11 tribute song, it's definitely the most emotion-evoking song on there.

As opposed to Nick Drake somberly complaining of his depression in Pink Moon?

Ok, again, as opposed to Fall Out Boy? Pink Moon has this lovely grace and beauty to it, and if you're gonna write music, you have to FEEL something, even if it's depression... Oh yeah! Didn't Wentz suffer from depression pretty heavily too? hmmm... *cough pot calling kettle black cough*

So really, it only comes down to music style and effectiveness and how GOOD it is... And Pink Moon would win any day... IMO

you're probably pretty narrow-minded when it comes to music if you have to compartmentalize "acoustic songs" as a separate entity. bands in countless genres write in an acoustic context consistently, it doesn't have to be reserved for the "emotional" song on the album.

The cogent point is that you're useless comment in a thread that begged no bearing of your own was pretentious. You can try and make me look foolish all you want, but the point is stop coming into threads if you're going to make smart-ass comments.

They're just arguing their point, maybe it's smartass in the process, but whatever, that's what a discussion is for

Ha ha fair play I failed! In my defense though the 'B' and the 'N' button are close together.... It's still inexcusable though.

yeah it was just goofy to me that two people on the same page made the same mistake.

Do you know what cogency is? All you did was present a ridiculous assertion concerning Pink Moon (which you purportedly love, no less) and then claim to be challenging my remark despite offering absolutely no valid points. Now, your position has shifted from "Oh yeah, well Nick Drake was depressed so like, yeah!" to "omg your input is so pretentious". I don't need to make you look foolish, your poorly constructed replies are doing so for me.
