View Full Version : That one song you wish had a music video?

Normally, I couldn't care-less for music videos because, consequently, if the video sucks and it is a great song; I 'm stuck thinking about that video while I listen to that song. Then, soon enough, I will also begin to hate that song, and I don't like hating songs that I like (cliche?).
... But, exceptions must be made- and we know we'd all like to see that one music video for that one song, but, of course, that music video is not made.

So tell me what songs you guys/girls think deserve a music video?! (and If you'd like: What is the worst music video ever made?)

Traditionally, I'll begin: 'Wolves At The Door' -by Sense Fail could be an amazing video, and I don't think there is ever getting passed that.

I'm genuinely not a fan of music videos and I usually don't watch them, even if they are by my favourite bands. Music videos always seem so samey. You mix a storyline (usually a very tenuous link to the lyrics) with shots of the band playing. Too simple. I think if you remove those constraints you could do some really interesting things with Sigur Ros songs. I think a lot of instrumental music has a lot of potential for beautiful videos. I don't know whether Explosions In The Sky, Mono, Mogwai, This Will Destroy You, Caspian or And So I Watch You From Afar have made music videos, but I think with the right idea they could be spectacular pieces of short film.

Agreed. Though I often switch out the top spot with Rough Landing and Sure Thing Falling. I love the whole album.

Let The Flames Begin by Paramore. Mostly because I can visualize the video. Imagine lots of pyrotechnics, meshing in with Hayley's hair. Yum.
Oh, and (much well less known) Electro Romeo by First Class Fever. Mostly because it'd be cute.

The Gaslight Anthem "Miles Davis & the Cool" Not only because it's my favorite off of '59 Sound, but it's so damned accessible that a really good music vid could have drawn in bunches of more fans who don't know the band existed.

Anything off of From Under The Cork Tree - Fall Out Boy, that doesn't have a video already, dunno why, just think that they had so much potential back then, could've done better with Sixteen Candles...

it's like a mix of tour footage.. the vox are really really un-synced as well..

but i still like it, but would love another one..

anything done by marc webb is amazing

as much as ppl didn't like the song, Helena's music video can still make me cry thinking of my grandparent's passing away

Then a lot of the time, when I watch the video the industry creates for them, I go off the song because it's not like the song in my head. I think some of my top songs that NEED videos would be "Remembering Sunday" by All Time Low, "Lyrical Lies" by Cute Is What We Aim For and "Fences" by Paramore. Videos have streammmeeddd through my head as I listen to them!

They don't have any official videos that I know of. However, there's probably a number of projects and amateur videos on YouTube for the song - some of which are pretty good!

I agree with the FOB song. I would have liked to have seen a video for Hum Hallelujah and maybe another video off of FAD. I don't think FAD received as much recognition as it should have.
