USA Today - Charles Barkley (http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile/653/charles_barkley/) is leaning towards the Democratic side of things of late and once again is considering a run at governor of Alabama.

"Alabama, that's my home. I'm thinking about running for governor; they need my help," the always quotable Charles Barkley (http://www.realgm.com/src_playerfile/653/charles_barkley/) said.

haha alabama won't elect a black dude

a black, democratic candidate has as much a chance of governing alabama as the astros do making the playoffs. in other words, zilch.

he mentioned this like a year or two ago and was unaware that the governer must actually live in the state he governs year round.

"There are too many black kids and their parents who do not value a good education," he said. "There are places where a black kid who is a good student and tries to speak correctly, you hear stuff like, 'He's trying to be white.' Well, I say, if that's true, we need more kids trying to be white." - charles barkley

maybe he does have some good ideas, although his whole political platform seems to be focused on education, i am a fan of that seeing that i am a teacher but he might need to get some information on other issues. I wouldn't look past him though, he can't be any less qualified than jessie ventura.

The only thing better than Charles Barkley running for Governor would be if Rasheed Wallace ran for Governor.
