So I've noticed when people are low on money, their cd or vinyl collection is the first thing to be sold.
I don't think I would be able to part with any of my music like that.
Would you?

Like anyone would want to buy the music put out by the shitty bands you listen to.

Jk, of course.

My mom's boyfriend told me to keep my vinly in good condition because "it might be worth something one day". I just laughed because I will not be selling it no matter what.

Never. My cardboard box will be made from record sleeves.

How low on money am I? And how much money am I gonna be making?

Nitpicking FTW!

Well, low enough to have to start selling your personal belongings for pocket change. And you won't be making much, obviously.

If I really needed the money I might sell some of the stuff that I don't really listen to that much...

But probably not.

I keep only the epic cds that I have others get traded in to my local record store to buy new ones. granted that is about as much money you get for cd's selling them would not help you out of any financial crisis. It's more about cleaning house and getting rid of what's not important

but i make a living off of music, that would be just sad and terrible if i did that.

Most of my music is on my ipod. So its a win-win situation.

My DVDs would go before the CDs, but yeah, probably.

I'd sell my cds (whatever is left of them anyway). I would NEVER sell my records.

Some people have asked me if I ever considered it. I always try to look at them in the most outraged expression I can make.

In some cases, I've had to before. So yes.

I pray to God that this will not happen to me. But cds just hold sentimental value for me; won't be making much money out of them anyways

Same here, I always make sure I put my CD's onto the computer in case of something like this.

My movies however.. don't think I could part with those. I have too many ><

This. My games and consoles would be the first to go before anything. I don't play them nearly as much as I used to so I'm good there.

Mine's all on my Ipod/computer and my cousin's have ransacked my CD collection, so what the fuck.

I can't believe how many people put no. Who are you, Rob Fleming?

Sure. Can't be illegal to download something you already bought can it?

I have a Nickelback cd I think from when I was about 13. So I'd sell that. Actually I think I might go bury it.

Not the entire thing, but maybe a couple CD's. I have sold albums I don't listen to anymore in the past for some pocket change.

Anyone here who says no is nuts, if things got that bad you'd be crazy not to sell it all; not that it's probably worth anything anyways

depends on how much. it has it's price.
