The Mars Volta Push Back Release Date

... that being said, Amputechture is my top album of the year right now, its been a pretty weak music year for me so far, I think converge will end up being top two with the mars volta

sucks. i decided to not listen to the leak and now i gota wait even longer.
although i heard the leak cuts off early on some songs which brutally sucks so i guess its worth the wait
esp for this band, the first listen for me requires listening to the whole album all at once uninterrupted.

In creative spectrum, their vision and the impact of their music in reflection to their time - they're two bands that draw very similar parallels.
I guess when you see "compare" you automatically think "the mars volta sounds just like led zeppelin" no, not what I was going for.

dude, there's very little jazz going on. i mean you can argue that changing keys within jam sequences is jazz, but all of this was preconceived and set into rock structures. however i would say that omar's influences of late must include some jazz.

and the similarities between zeppelin and the volta end at the fact that there is a talented lead singer with impeccable range combined with a guitar player that essentially drives the whole project. the rhythm sections are completely different- bonham was probably just as great but theodore is a much different, more educated drummer, while juan is a complete beast that perfectly fits omar's writing style.
