I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow morning, and I've selected the following films to watch in bad for the rest of the day:

The Royal Tenenbaums
Moulin Rouge!
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas
Napoleon Dynamite
Dogma
This Is Spinal Tap

Any other suggestions?

When sick or something of that sort, I don't watch movies I would normally watch. I watch movies that are basely entertaining and eminently rewatchable. For example, last time I was really, really sick I watched an entire season of Futurama, and another time I watched back to back - SWAT, Euro Trip and Intolerable Cruelty. Watch stuff that is entertaining and you don't have to pay attention to it, things like Fear and Loathing and Royal Tenenbaums don't usually fit very well with illness. One time I tried watching the aforementioned Road to Perdition when sick and it just made me want to go into a coma, while Euro Trip strangely made me feel better. Ain't that a kick in the head?

i'm the same way. I like to watch stuff that I don't have to think about and don't mind falling asleep to

I'll recommend all of my favorites.

Closer-Great dialogue, amazing acting. And Natalie Portman's ass. And you can't really go wrong with hearing Julia Roberts talk about swallowing Jude Law's Load.

Boondock Saints-If you want a violent, dramatic, funny "guy" movie. I think it's one of Willem Dafoe's best roles ever.

City Of God-Think Pulp Fiction, but set in the seventies(it's a true story, after all). If you can get past subtitles, then watch this film. The only movie that made me cry. Ever.

Probably not. I've seen it about ten times.

Great film.
