I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion, positive or negative, but I think it's ridiculous to call bands "pussies" or "gay" because you don't like their music. It's so fucking true, you have all these different opinions of kids that will talk shit about whatever band they want regardless of what the band has done. These bands work their asses off to get where they are and these lazy ass kids just sit back behind a computer screen and talk shit. You also have each different site( not just AP.net) that carries biased views, so you have to choose your battles, because god forbid you like a band that 90% of the forum will bash. Instead of being a place where kids can share new bands and chat about shows, these sites have become a place where bands gets bashed and only a select few will be talked about with respect.

I think people don't separate the staff from the users when they comment about our site. The users can be complete assholes about bands on a regular basis, but I think the staff maintains a fairly good level of professionalism with most bands. If they don't like them, they don't usually take a dump on them, which can't be said of some of our users.

on warped tour i was out with a band for a few days, and TONS of bands on warped get up early as fuck to help promote their set time by hanging posters up all around the venue, while many of bands were up hours before doors, Hellogoodbye would wait until 15-20 min before doors, and they would hang their posters up over bands names and set times, basically destroying everything other bands have done that morning to promote their set times.

so fuck hellogoodbye, if they had respect for other people and other bands maybe they wouldnt get so much shit talked on them, they deserve every little bit of shit they get unlike fob...

AP spends more time on gossip, drama, and rumors. i prefer punknews because i want to see what bands i like are up to, not articles on paris hilton or admins who have to always post an article about an "uncool" band with a headline like "do people still like these guys?" (see: good charlotte, simple plan) i will give AP credit for having better forums, but at least the dude who posts headlines on PN isn't a biased prick about stuff.

If you're in a band that sucks, people have the right to say something about it. In fact, they can say whatever they want about that band. Just because they are "good dudes," they tour a lot, and/or they donate to charity doesn't take away from the fact that the band makes bad music.

About a year and a half ago I talked smack about The Hurt Process and other bands of the sort in the Trash Talk forum. I got a myspace message from someone in the band who called me "gay" or something like that and sounded like a total idiot. A few messages later, he aplogized for his comments and for getting angry at me for having an opinion.

If the artist cares that much about what people think of the music, they should have written a better album.

Also, so many of the bands on here just try to replicate the success of shitty bands like Underoath and Hawthorne Heights. If someone makes a post about a band that looks like either of those bands and has a season or a day of the week in the name, it's probably going to be a shitty band. There's no looking around that. The only original band mentioned on this website on a consistent basis is Say Anything.

There are good things around too .. I can't tell you how many times I've seen kids with HGB icons, signatures, or things of that nature around these forums. I just hate that people always focus on the negative things AP has to offer/does - and we rarely get noticed for anything good.

I'm sorry when things come across wrong, and hell, I come across worse then most people alot of the time, but that doesn't mean there still aren't hundreds - if not THOUSANDS - of people on this website tha love what you're doing and love your band. In fact a simple search of just our registered members shows 1356 members that have "hellogoodbye" listed as a favorite band. That's a pretty damn good number.

I try to steer away from negative comments from any bands, because I am personally so tired of reading threads about some band that has no connection with Fall Out Boy and hearing someone say something bad about them. It's just stupid and unnecessary. I am not afraid to say I like this band or that band, and if somebody choose to insult me because of my likes or dislikes, so be it. It's unfair, but then again, any message board site will have this kind of shit. The good thing that comes out of this is AP.net was mentioned by a band in AltPress!

It's kinda sad AP.net has to be mentioned in that regard, but to anyone familiar with Altpress, I'm sure they know of AP.net's reputation or the site itself. I enjoy HGB; they're fun and they write catchy songs. Sure, some of it is fluff, but I guess I like fun music. That's why bands like Less Than Jake are my favorites. They make me happy, and that's fine with me.
