In fact I respect him more for the two solid HA album's he's put out - not many vocalists could have such success with two contrasting style of bands.

Good for these guys. I hung out with them here in Dallas. One of the coolest bunch of band dudes that I've met in a while. They signed EVERY SINGLE PERSON's autograph that stood in line for over an hour and a half. All these guys LOVE their fans and love the music they're doing.

They deserve this.

Even though I like Head Automatica, this issue will probably flop and lose AP some money.
HA isn't really a mainstream emo piece of shit band, like all of AP's other covers.

i haven't read it yet. but if they mean that CIWWAF is as OVERRATED as say anything, then, i'd tend to agree.

I actually had the Rocket Summer in place of Say Anything (I don't hear a single similarity between Cute and SA), but the assigning editor for the section wanted SA there instead.

I loved the first Head Automatica album. But the new one is awful. I loved the step in a completely new direction of the first one, but this new one just isn't good music. A million other artists could make something just as mediocre. It sucks that they're getting more attention by being less original....and not to mention, rehatching "Beating Hearts Baby" (one of my favorites from the first album) again on the new album. Cheap move.

this is only head automatica's second album.

Haha, I saw those too and I was like "WTF?" I like HGB, but a 5? C'mon. And don't ruin Say Anything's name by saying their sound is like CIWWAF. ugh.

They also give a lot of love to Gatsbys in the upcoming releases. Oh, and the subscriber only cover is a lot better. I think it's much looser, and is a good cover. I think Daryl is one of the best vocalists around these days, and for a guy who went from post-hardcore screamo to pop...he's transitioned a lot better than most guys ever could.

What sort of messed up editorial makes opinion-based changes to your work? Surely it shouldn't carry your name if it isn't your opinion...

I'd be having a word.

Is this purely the assigning editor's view or is there money changing hands on some level? Do FBR want Cute compared to Say Anything?
