man.. i loved this band. and im sad to say.. theyre going to become the new fall out boy.. all the 12 year olds are going to rush the stage.. and we're all gonna hate them.. big frown face.. but.. then again.. i hope they make a lot of money cause theyre killer dudes.

the other night at like 3am I turned on FUSE cuz I wanted some music videos before I went to bed... and they usually show better videos than MTV2. So I watched a few and Honestly by Cartel came on. I've never heard Cartel before this moment, and the video kinda bored me, so I turned on MTV 2. Cartel was on MTV2 also.
Now normally that wouldn't be odd to me... but in the MTV2 video, the singer didn't have a guitar and had a striped shirt on, but on the FUSE video, the singer was playing guitar and had a solid colored shirt on. The rest of the video is the same, but there was that one difference.
What the hell is up with that?

i'm pretty sure they reshot the performance part...so i guess mtv2 still has the old video in their rotation. the newer version has will playing guitar.

I'm glad they pimped The Ransom in that piece...maybe some kids will go buy it 'cause as much as I love Chroma, The Ransom is the balls. Also, if anybody watched the fan questions part dealing with Aaron Carter...that shit is hilarious. I wish these fools would headline soon so I can see a full set with some Ransom songs...I'd kill to hear Write This Down or The City Never Sleeps live. And as much as Say Anything (Else) owns, I go ape-shit when they play Burn This City.

seriously they play one of the best live shows around. its nothing short of orgasmic
Seriously....how have these guys not been pushed over the edge yet and blown up big. Don't really care one way or another if they do. Im not gonna be one of those people who disown a band after they reach a larger audience...especially if they haven't released anything new or different to claim that they have sold out or changed. Ive been telling people about these guys for so long now just as most of you around here have been also....it can't be too long before something clicks and it happens. The record label and management for the band is trying their asses off to make it happen and when it happens they will have totally earned every bit of the millions they start to make.
I think the general consensus around here is that Cartel will be the next big band in the AP-verse followed by Say Anything. Or am I just over generalizing the majority opinion?

cartel i dont think will every blow up as in simple plan kind of blow up
Cartel is gonna be huge after all this MTV coverage and the NFG tour in the fall and they deserve everything that they get. Great interview. The Aaron Carter joke was hilarious.

im bobby from uc santa cruz. and i sent that question before the AltPress articleabout them where he addressed that. and until recently i only saw pictures of him for Chroma where is hair is shorter and makes him look older. so yeah that was me. and i also asked a question for hellogoodbye when they had that and i asked about touchdown turnaround being on the cd. so its really easy to geta question answered for this.
